In other news, there was panic before the start of the Danish championship yesterday. Michael Rasmussen showed up and were talking with Jakob Fuglsang, and the organizers thought that he wanted to participate. Therefore, they asked the commissioners to examine if it was allowed for him to participate, and some wanted the route to be shortened, so he had a chance (considering the fact that he hasn't ridden a race for a year -- although he did say that he could easily win this year's TdF with the form he's in right now ).
There was one problem, though: MR didn't want to participate. He was there to watch it and keep an eye on his friend Jakob Fuglsang, who Michael Rasmussen said was "the best talent that Denmark has produced in the past 10 years". |

I was responding to turismo saying that he was worried he could come back for this year's Vuelta.
So when i said "nobody would sign him though", i meant for this year's Vuelta.

i suppose to sign Landis would be the reaction to the case in the US. If everyone is happy about him being cleared then it would be possible. If not i doubt it.
We all know he's guilty anyway. What's the point in the what if's.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Switzerland announced today its decision regarding ex-Tour de France winner Floyd Landis vs. US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA.) The court ruled against Landis, ending his fight to clear his name and regain his Tour victory. Landis will have to serve the full suspension that is back-dated to 30 January, 2007. Additionally, Landis was ordered to pay $100,000 in costs to the USADA.
In a statement released by the CAS, it found that: "1. The LNDD is a WADA-accredited laboratory which benefits from the the presumption that it conducted sample analysis in accordance with international laboratory standards. 2. The athlete has not rebutted this presumption my showing that a departure from the International Standard occurred."
The panel then went on to conclude from the evidence presented that the "presence of exogenous testosterone or its precursors or metabolites in Floyd Landis' sample proved that he violated the anti-doping rules of the UCI".
More details to follow.

I wasn't presenting it as a realistic scenario...
My co-worker says she thinks Floyd Landis "looks guilty." I AGREE! |

Thomas Dekker won't ride the Vuelta either. He will now focus completely on the Olympics and the Worlds.
He will ride Sachsen Tour, then Beijing, then Tour of Germany, Tour of Poland and finally the world championships. |

Hmm... interesting.
Have we ever seen the two in the same room at the same time? Perhaps they're the same person!

Wrong.
3rd in GC Castilla y Leon
3rd in GC Pays Basque
5th in Amstel Gold Race
5th in Fleche Wallone
6th in Liege Bastogne Liege
+ in total 15 top 10 placings so far. So.. uhh, nothing? It's better than hundreds of other cyclists this year. Atm he is in the top 20 of the CQ ranking (old UCI ranking) and top 10 of the Pro Tour
