England can't win is basically your point
Well, yes
I can't wait for the Netherlands v Italy game tomorrow/today. Should be an interesting insight as to who will do well in the group and who won't.
damn right that's gonna be interesting... this group is definately the hardest, I think france and italy will proceed (sorry netherlands ;P )
I am a bit disappointed about germany's defence yesterday hope they will get better in the tournament, strikers looked much better |

Germany - France would definitely be the geatest match to see However, I am ensure about French's skills. Looking forwards to watching them tomorrow to find out their real skills at the moment.
Edited: Addy, I think we had not seen the same match. Henry won't play (injured last week), neither will Vieira (not sure if he'll withdraw his EC participation or not).
It will depend of how they are physically, either they're wasted like in 2004 (did it happen once in 2004 that two French players were running at the same time ?) and in the first matchs of 2006, then they won't do anything good, either they're physically strong like in the last rounds of the last World Cup, then there's much hope. |

I really enjoyed the Portugal match. Great football and the Turkish players weren't able to keep up at all. I didn't really get to watch the Germany match, but it sounds like it was good.
Today .. Italy vs. Netherlands |

I think it's bad if UEFA have made the gameplan like the ones showed. It should be like last year, where you could only meat a group team in the final. Like this we could get semifinal1 : 1 from a vs 2 from a and semifinal 2. 1 from c vs 2 from c. I don't think that will be good and i really don't hope that's the case, even though it lokks like it. |

Today's games should be good - in fact I'll want to watch all of group C's games, its a very exciting group.
Also looking forward to see my teams for the tournament, Sweden and Spain, take part tomorrow. B) |

God damn those injuries...
Knowing Henry and Vieira will not play, France might play worse but I may not be 100% sure about it. In other words, on one hand, I did not rely on Henry to score many goals and, on other hand, his substitution for a Benzema-Anelka could probably show up another and better way of winning. Thereby, we could see how that new attack looks like.
That being said, the absence of Vieira will definitely get France worse. However, Ribery ahead of other good players will enable France to find out a new era.
I must not also omit their form at the moment, Romania should help us to find it out to-night. According to the previous Cups (as you said), if France gets its peticular great/strong form, we can go towards wherever we like. |

Today's matches are unpredictable ..
Everything can happen in this group and I wouldn't count Romania out..
They could surprise against France

Romania do have a few good players. Chivu, Dica and Mutu are very good players. They do have the potential to surprise a couple of teams, and since they are playing France first, France have the biggest chance of under-estimating them and slipping up.

Okay, reckon to the latest cups that France is pretty bad at first. So it might be better not to bet and rather be in doubt. BUT, however, Go France GO - French are behind to go ahead! B) |

Well Romania are pretty good with some good players and a good keeper.. WC 2002  We had the top scorers of the English, Italian and French leagues (Henry, Trezeguet, Cissé), we hit the posts and the bars 7 times in three matchs, and scored... 0 goals. |

That's the first time in my life I've seen someone gloating about having Cissé. Usually people sheepishly admit the fact that he plays for them.
I didn't see the game, but I did see that between both teams there was ONE shot on target the whole game

This game reminded me why i so rarely watch an entire football match. It was horrible... Only thing worthy was hearing how Mark Strudahl had the recepy to open the Rumanian defence. A guy who was a shitty, lousy attacker himself... |

where's the italian defence gone?
at the end of the game, Van Basten will be all cocky, saying how they are now favorites and will go far and complaining how the media don't give the team the credit they deserve
then they'll lose their next game and he'll remark how he "never expected such a young team to win the euro. it's the media's fault for over-hyping this team"
How do I know this? because it's Van Basten...he always does that
