Against our Petzschner and Austrian Melzer. Could be an interesting game. |

Yeah...and I think they will won the final against Melzer and Petzschner...Melzer plays a very poor game against Federer and Petzschner even though he taked 2 sets against Rafa (not that Rafa that play against Soderling) that guy really doesn't have a backhand...I guess Tecau&Lindstedt will take it in 3 sets(at least that's what i hope)
Tommorow the semis and sunday Nadal-Berdych final.. |

Not that I really care much about tennis, but ... if Caroline Wozniacki wins her next match, she'll be the world #1.
Problem? She hasn't won a grand slam.
So she's the world's best according to the ranking, but she hasn't managed to beat the best. |

Half-danish. Like other great danish heroes such as Schmeichel and Kipketer.

Born and raised in Denmark like Schmeichel - so she (and he, for that matter) is Danish.
Kipketer is a totally different case. He was born and raised in Kenya and imported to Denmark to get us some results.

After having won today, Caroline Wozniacki will officially be the new World #1 on the 11th of October when the ranking is updated

You complain about this, but Lee Westwood becomes number 1 ranking in golf in two weeks time s long as he doesn't play a tournament until then

very hard for Wozniacki to stay no.1 so many good players at the top of the game. Should be a cracking match tomorrow against Ivanovic, shes returning to her form of a couple of years ago. |

Yeah, I'm sure that Ivanovic is one of the most talented players in the world, but ever since becoming world number 1 she just seemed to lose all her confidence and never regain it for no apparent reason

Well, the same for other countries aswell. Ibrahimovic (Sweden), several french football stars, 80% of all NBA players etc |

yes being no.1 is a curse
since 2008
Jankovic
Safina
not 1 slam between then and dropped down the rankings fast
in the early days of the womans tour the no.1 players held the spot for years some even close to a decade, maybe because the quantity of good players was low.

Two beautiful women playing tennis.
Though I'd rather see them in a Junior Jack video.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

What? She's winning.
Edit: Actually, she just won. Not watching the match.

Heather Watson played well in Auckland, defenatly think shes future top 20 player, all the media go mad for Laura Robson in the UK, but i think shes being trained wrong, trying to turn her into a Williams sister with power game, but i dont think thats her game at all. Federer looks on top form already while Nadal seems to have a flu bug or something |
