They both did perform regularly, Terpstra from E3 on and Langeveld even from Kuurne on (remember Poggio MSR)
They are 23 and 24, there is still plenty of progression inside those two. And Langeveld...well, I haven't seen much 23-year olds do that in de Ronde van Vlaanderen. |

Langeveld and Terpstra did have good races, but I'm not sure if their capable of repeat performances. I know Terpstra's been in great form over the past few races, but still, its a big step up if asked/expected to do it regularly.
I hope they can keep racing so strongly throughout the remainder of the cobbled classics to prove themselves one way or the other.
i also don't think that terpstra can keps this up but still great ride from him but langeveld is really capable of doing so. he's been riding superb since the start of the cobbled classics |

This could be just me, but I'm having the idea, this year the races(also classics) become more and more unpredictable, like today, there were million favourites, and this year, a lot of times breaks actually make it, also in 1 days classics, like E3 Prijs, maybe it's because of the new Bio Passport etc. Less dope in the PEloton.
And.. I completely agree with Ruben about Langeveld and Terpstra, I think LAngeveld win win RvV one day, I think he's more a man for in the hills, he will, in a few years, also be a nice guy for in the hills, I hope

That's what we hope
Anyway, nice to see Langeveld perform so well today, lets hope he does develop into the rider of the promise he showed today, but remember, it is just one race, and he probably just had the race of his life

Greg van avermaet and spilak where the best young riders in the race
Greg worked his ass off for hoste finished 8th
Spilak worked for ballan and is a neo pro he was 9th..
Those 2riders shown that they are the best young riders |

MAte, you cant just go for results, Langeveld was very long on with the atttacks and seemed to take a second place, but then at 5 km or so was reeled in, SPilak and Van Avermaet just sat in the same group as Langeveld and Terpstra finished, but Terpstra and Langeveld just didn't sprint.. I could also say that SPilak then was stronger than Cancellara, Boonen and Hoste just because he finished in front of them

I think Spilak is amazing. He keeps on impressing me. Also great performance by Langeveld. Kept hoping he'd catch Devolder. |

It was a great race! I really enjoyed it. And since I'm a big fan from Devolder, I was really happy with his win. He deserved it. Doing such a win after all the work he did for Boonen already. Just great!
Best race I already saw this season I think
Double Belgian in a Belgian top race. You're happy now, I guess?
Hell yeach! And especially because I'm also a big Devolder fan like you can see at my avatar. |

Good Race (much better than last year). But some tactical mistakes mainly be Quick Step really. Boonen really could have gone on the Muur and then when flecha went they just decided to fight on who was going to go.
But a great ride by Devolder, now bring on Roubaix
Yeah QuickStep really made some tactical mistakes. Their mistakes where so grave that they won the race. What did you want Boonen to do, chase down his own teammate. I personally thought it was a good race and was glad to see Devolder win it. But that is me.

It was good they got Devolder up the road in a group then Boonen could have made the jump on a climb, but he didn't.
But lets not take it away from Devolder it was a great ride

idd langeveld was geweldig

Quicksteps tactic was suberp! Boonen showing of at the hills, making everybody afraid of him, plus he minimized the frontgroup evry single time. Devolder covering the break attemps neutralizing them by free wheeling. They had the race very much under control! |

Ha Ha Ha
Didnt saw that van avermaet was the one that got Hoste back ? Hoste says him self next year greg will be the leader of the team in flanders classic.. but i guess ure dutch and only looking at dutch riders that ride whit no brain like boogerd..
I don't say that langeveld raced bad, but stupid!
As for Terpstra he didnt have any real role in the race. |
