The reason I make the above 80 rules is that guys like Quintana, Sagan, etc shouldn't get secondary stat upgrades for free. They're good enough already, if you want to upgrade them any further, you have to spend your points
Well Hinault is f*cked then Or does Natural Progression not affect Custom Riders?

Not for custom riders indeed, they have had plenty of upgrading oppurtunities. This is more for those young guys on your team that you couldn't upgrade with the normal points (because we all spent them on our big names ).
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Ok well I don't have that issue so I'm just going to stop complaining and say THAT IS A GREAT IDEA and I'm very happy with this.

WHAT IS THIS OLLFARDH!!!!!! (Capital letters used to signify annoyance!)
You specifically said earlier in the season 'that there won't be any declines at the end of season 1', I wouldn't have upgraded Horner if I knew otherwise.
Not that I mind too much as I am going with the flow here.
Anyway, on the stats changes there:
- I would like to see a bit more of a randomizing effect come into play
-- eg. Rider = Age 36
- Has 70% chance to lose 1/2 attribute points in certain stat
- Has 20% chance to los 3/4 attribute points in certain stat
- Has 5% chance to lose 5/6 attribute points in certain stat
- Has 5% chance to go up 1/2 points in certain stat
(Though that will take a long time to edit, so may not be feasible.)
On the youngest EPIC riders:
Based on the rate EPIC has been going (much slower than real life) means we will complete this season in about 1 year 1.5 months, which likely means we will never reach season 3/4.
So it should be considered to give the young riders a big stat increase otherwise they will never be competitive in EPIC. So more generous upgrades for all riders, say under 27 and below a certain stat, should be thought about.
- You might want to do something about the 'very top' riders as well, such as forcing downgrades no matter the age. I don't want to go into another EPIC season knowing that only several riders can win a GT.
Hopefully that gives you something to think about.

I don't think I ever said that, The Rider? But correct me if I'm wrong. The idea has always been to make old riders decline.
And yes TMM, I am keeping track of which riders got which stat updated

He said no riders would decline after Part 1. Of course, Chris 'Juiced' Horner is going to decline at the end of the season, hopefully a lot. Maybe he can go in to hair modelling instead.

not very popular
Brewers - that might have caused the confusion indeed. I will do declines at the end of the seaosn only.

I think he would make a great model.

So my next question, should the points you earn in the last season part be used at this point, or should people only spend them after the transfer period, for next year's team? The first option is more realistic in my opinion, the second option will make the transfer period start sooner.
Another option to speed things up, is to take the rankings after Pologne (like in real life) or after the Vuelta to see which countries can participate in the World Championships. You thoughts on that?
So the schedule
- Hainan finishes
- World championships
- Option 1 for the progress points
- Decline and natural progress
- Re-signing riders
- Transfer period opens
- Draft rounds
- Free agent signing
- Transfer period closes
- Option 2 for the progress points
But yeah, for now let's just keep the races coming

Option 1 for the sake of realism. Plus it makes you think "perhaps i should upgrade rider X because then i can sell him for more"

Why? There are only a handful of stars that are really affected by this. Make it that they need to fulfill a certain number of points and if they do, they decline slower. But yes, maybe it gets too much out of hand.
About the update system in general: I'd actually prefer the update system of custom riders to be like the initial rider creation-system, which I think was well-thought out. For example, that riders earn like 1 to maybe 4, 5, 6 points per season(part).
In return, the higher a stat, the more they need to invest. Similiar to the initial system of 1:1, 2:1, 4:1 but maybe with even changed gaps (for example: 1:2 until 65, 1:1 to 70, 2:1 to 73, 4:1 to 75, 6:1 to 78 etc).
Because right now, the thing with the big numbers is that there is hardly a difference between upgrading something from 70 to 71, compared to upgrading it from 77 to 78. It's 8 points, which is wrong imo. I think bikex has also mentioned something similiar in the last break. Also, the scrapped points are sorta useless.
Adding to that, I'd also include additionally to the age rating for custom riders, the actual PCM-computed average of a rider. When a rider has an average rating of - let's say - 78, he receives less points compared to a 18 year old with 69 average.

Yes, I'll return to the system in the first update round (the one with the age multipliers). Although it was confusing people, it definitely was more realistic.

As we're talking upgrade systems... If we do go back to a multiplier system will there be chance to save up/carry over points? It would be great to save up those left over points, or as what happened to Hanzen, those points at all.

Probably not, I like the need to puzzle a bit, plus it gives me too much extra work

Furthermore, Superstar clashes like Valverde and Quintana will need to be addressed. I will give you their opinions and you will have to send me a reply to explain their schedule so that they both can be happy. If I’m not convinced, one of the riders will leave the team. The proposed schedule must of course be followed. The clashes go for both real and custom riders.
In a special case if i want to trade one of my superstar riders after re-signing , will be a problem? (because i cant give him the promised schedule) |

He won't re-sign if he's not happy, it will be the same as not having enough money to re-sign him.
