Hmm, not the result I was hoping for. Thought Kelly would have great chances given the course, but maybe the route is trickier than I thought. Roche did well to finish with the front group though.

As i am working on the next season, here are some changes coming up:
1 - Most important, I will use the PCMDaily database as the basis for my db, therefore more playable races.
2 - Coop-Mercier will become Miko-Mercier and i've changed a few shirts
3 - Ti-Raleigh and Renault reams have been improved so that Ti should be better overall, especially in TTT and Renault should give Hinault a bit more support in the mountain
4 - Système U riders have been toned down in MO and a couple improved in VAL. Marie has lost a lot of points on SP. I was just finding it too easy
5 - Various stats changes for individual riders. I can't give the détails as I've been doing them gradually as the season progressed so I don't have them all in mind. A few I do remember: some minor riders have been toned down as they won too much. Raas lost a lot of REC, Maertens & Argentin lost a couple of points on MO.
6 - Teams all have a 5yr contract with their main sponsor, so hopefully I'll be able to carry on my carreer for a few seasons and therefore use alternate routes for races (i'll just have to edit the save game in January to cancel transfers, retirements, aging and rookies coming in).

I am starting it now
I will be using 2010 races for this season. I've also renamed and relocated all sorts of "exotic" races to make it all feel more 1980's and i've replaced them by races that have disappeared since the 80s. So no more races in Australia or in Asia.. Only Europe and America (Coors Classic, Classico RCN etc..). It's not that accurate in terms of calendar but well, it'll do for now. So the 1st race of the season is the Giro del Lazio. |
