Do you even know how a climb works? You don't have strenght all the time. Sometimes you can't pull. Valverde did lots of turns together with Pinot. He worked with Pinot when Nibali was still at their wheel, and he worked afterwards.

Holy fanboys people are stupid in this thread. Majka did what was best for him, he had nothing to win other than a secondary place on the stage. Konig is now in top 10, he CLEARLY had to set the pace.
Valverde realised he is never going to beat Nibali and is now riding for second place. He is going to defend it in the way he does best, with a strong finish. He is NOT interested in more time, while Pinot still needs time to overtake Bardet. Why would Valverde help Pinot overtake Bardet? |

Nibali is stage hungry, meh. Don't like it, but still better seeing him win than Majka. One thing I always liked about Contador is his generosity. Only GC rider in the peloton that hands a win now and then to other riders. Class. Nibali, not sure...
Porte, joke of the Tour. Kwiatek is also awesome at pacing himself by the way. Also, Bardet is really really the next big thing... well, hopefully.
