i don't expect him to win, but i've got to hope, the last time a brit won a stage of the Tour was 98 with Chris Boardman, so we don't get to be excited a lot
Millar won a few stages at Le Tour remember? He won the 2000 prologue and a road stage in 2002 and 2003, of which only the 2003 win was stripped due to doping.
oh yeah sorry, completley forgot about Millar
and about Crommy's statement we do over-hype all our people at all sports come to think of it, but i don't at cycling |

As i see it the the favourites for the years yellow jersey are: Klöden, Evans, Sastre, Vinokourov, Valverde, Menchov, Leipheimer, Rasmussen and Schleck. These ten riders do all stand a good chance of winning. Besides these ten riders Rogers, Pereiro, Contador, Popovych and Dessel.
If i put them in groups i would look like this:
*****
Vinokourov, Valverde, Sastre and Klöden
****
Menchov, Leipheimer, Evans and Schleck
***
Pereiro, Rogers, Rasmussen, Kashechkin and Popovych
**
Zubeldia, Dessel, Karpets and Contador
*
Igor Anton, Savoldelli, Moreau and Kohl
Don't ask my to put them in a GC, 'cause i can't.. They're simply to even |

I agree he should be much lower. as the rest, I'd move a few, but no one else more than one group.
a few though, I'd make them disappear from that list. for instance. Anton, Savoldelli, Kohl are there, but not Fothen? makes no sense to me.
then again, it's all very subjective. what is unthinkable to one is natural to another

sorry, I refuse to make predictions when sport is so unpredictable
I go by facts. and I'll probably post my thought before each stage on the Tour thread

let's see if he takes the start. with all the allegations I'm not sure. I just hope dopers won't take the start....but I know full well that it's impossible.

I think your popularity with the Brits in this forum is going downhill. Fast.

see it this way:
8km is FAAAAAAR too long for Wiggins. and Millar can't do anything against an in-form Cancellara.
in fact, I doubt anyone can keep mr Cance from his second yellow jersey
and that's from a fan who supports no team or rider in particular (although I do have a bone to pick with some teams)
of course...this is all speculation. surprises are always welcome
