You know this will happen. Why you watch it if it disgusts you so much?
Fantastisk last climb, really enjoyed it and much more than you could ask for. Fantastic duel between Contador and Froome.
Because it's hilarious to watch him go full retard, it's like a parody of Lance
Tbh, its more interesting to see a team take control on a climb and animate the race, putting the riders on their limits and seeing quite big gaps compared to a 10 man sprint on top of a long climb.
Contador did great, just didn't have the last. But great to see him in great shape. Anyone who knows who the second Lotto rider to finish was?
Gallopin?
Yes. Astana with 3 on top 10. Only Nibali failed today. Email will be just for him.
What to be expected from Nibali at this point I guess. He isnt a rider who performs well all year (like Froome and Contador), but peaks for his season goals
I'm gonna reply Dutch style by ignoring all other riders to point out that a certain cyclist from my own country performed well even though nobody cares.
Kelderman's Giro supercompensation is working out well for him, jesus christ, almost gave me a heart attack by nearly following Froome/Contador up until the end
And Froome gave it all and Contador didn´t flinch.
Nor was he able to pass him
Ya it looks like that but remember Contador haven't raced in awhile so he still has some way to go.
You could tell a few k's down that all Contador was going to be able to do was follow today, he always gets as twitchy face when he is working hard/struggling so as long as Froome still had a kick he was going to win.

He is good at those mid-range climbs, especially in weeklong stage races. Needs to work on recovery and the high mountains which will come with age, and oh my...
Van den Broeck real great too today, and I actually noticed him so that certainly speaks for his form. I guess Ian Butler will be very happy.
Contador's tactic was quite clear: Hang onto Froome for as long as possible. He wanted to see if it's possible after 8 weeks without racing. It is, on a perfect Sky climb mind you, as CountArach described it well. So, signs are definitely looking good for le Tour. I would have preferred if he won but outsprinting Froome in such a weird finish... meh. I liked how frustrated Froome looked at times, no one willing to help him. I think I'll rewatch that stage later, now I'll go for a ride. Thanks Bertie. Edited by Shonak on 09-06-2014 14:27
