I think this is a good oppurtunity to use this!!
Edit : Plus this i dont want to rack up loads of multiposts
1 Mark Cavendish (High Road)
2 Luciano André Pagliarini Mendonca (Saunier Duval-Scott)
3 Juan Jose Haedo (Team CSC)

I saw the last 10 km, and they were great -- except for the winner, of course |

Probably used the cars to get back
Interesting that Haedo sat up in the last 25m, and Paligrini lunged for 2nd, and now won the stage . J.J will be kicking himself for missing a chance to make it 3 stragiht TOC's with 2 wins

Id be more annoyed that the first association you can think of with Britain is football ...
Whatever happens, Cav won the sprint, the Americans can officially take the stage away but he was still the best sprinter out there today.

He also crashed.
So having crashed, noone was able to beat him. Sure, he may have preserved some energy getting back up to the peleton, but he will also have lost energy from crashing, and the car didnt drag him to the front of the field, he still had to fight his way through to the front, somehow get a good position and then win, which he did.
You dont even know how long he held on to his team car for, it may only have been for a couple of seconds.
Meh, Pagliarini can be the moral victor but he still didnt win the sprint
