The first of the 'big two' cobble stages here. There may be less cobble than the stage in Denmark but he go over a steep cobbled hill 15 times today. This stage destroyed many in TOTC4 ....

After winning yesterday Nys makes the break again today. He is joined by Deeny, Louder, Barker, Barbin, Bono, Morajko and Sullivan.

Szymd starts his 10th day in red. He hasn't been overly troubled yet, many expect him to struggle today. However, his team are doing a stellar job. Iberia are setting the pace towards the front ensuring the Pole is always towards the front. As a result pretty much everyone is dropped early on apart from the red jersey.

Aer Lingus soon pick up on this idea themselves and start to ride on the front to keep Tschopp out of trouble. Tschopp and Bluebell's Clarke are the most protected challengers to Szymd, they are always in the top 15.

Middle: This course breaks up the peloton like no other. Many groups are scattered on the road early on, Steegmans is having a shocker he could be seen in the rear groups.

Right: Fischer wears his points jersey with pride .... he would not feature today.

With 54 KM to go many riderse have been dropped dozens of times from many groups. At this stage the break has 4'20 over the 41 man peloton. All of the top are present, Serpa isn't though and his teammates sacrifice themselves in the hope of limiting loses.

With 35 KM to go the break are looking more capable of fighting out the stage win. They have 3'33, Hansen makes sure Paulinho and a group of 19 regroup with the red jersey after being dropped.

Schierlinckx attacks! The stage winner looks strong in doing so ...... but he is caught. He seems unwillingly to attack by himself so he withdraws back to the red jersey group.

Covered in mud!

With under 20 km to go Iberia push on with a number of riders being dropped. Only Tschopp, Koren and Clarke have made this move of the favourites. The work of the Iberia domestiques has been phenomenal, Codol and Kaisen are immense today.

Left: The remains of the peloton. If you are not in this group you would lose time today. The group includes: Szymd, Martens, Tschopp, Clarke and Koren.

Right: Out front the break are down to 2 riders and with over 2'00 they will fight out the win. The riders: NYS and BARKER.

But he is the first to launch his final effort. Yanto Barker comes on terms and passes him as the final meters of the race are reached ... but Nys is a resilient son of a gun. Somehow he gets back on terms with the UK Youth rider.

7up make it a turkey and four wins overall. They are the legends of the breakaway. This is their era in TOTC. You can never count Nys out. He was passed after starting to final sprint first, but still had enough in the tank to take the win. 2 wins on the bounce, not bad for a pot 3 rider!

The aggressive teams of Nokia Ekspla lead home the depleted peloton. Only 14 riders make this group including Sylwester Szymd. Few would have expected him in the lead peloton group, but he looked great as he crossed the line in 7th. Today he has shown he can with the GC here.

Many GC riders lose 2'30 to Szmyd on a day when they would have expected to put big time into him.
