Too bad for Riquelme, he should've gotten a top 10 here
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well done Antón and MartÃnez. And kudos to Verboven for hanging on to the front group as well.

Demare looking, potentially, as the strongest sprinter being the only one in the Top10. Could he provide an interesting GC upset as well? We certainly hope so!
Was a great stage, thank god PCM sorted out its serious gameplay issues from 12.
Also Hanzen underwhelming. Probably being used more to aid Henao, which is ok provided he does well in the GC

I knew we (RadioShack) didn't have to send the likes of Cancellara here to do well. What a win!
Now come on team protect that lead. |

Quiet day for Cannondale. Moser still in the race for a top 10 in GC. |

Ok, sorry for the delay guys, but I'm having difficulty with this San Luis setup I've edited the Number of teams and the number of riders allowed to go on Lachi's Editor, yet when I go in and go to set up the race it reverts to the old system |

Are you sure you exported and not saved it in the editor? Have you selected the (new) DB in-game?

Wow wouldn't have expected that!
And Josh Burton finishing in front of Degenkolb, I assume he didn't sprint |

Well, Christ guys. WTF was that?? Are you allowed to just give up and go home, this is a waste of race days. At least Oss tried something, but way too early. Schar and Quinziato need to wake up and get in some breakaways asap.
And as nacho said, good ride from Burton there. |

Sorry for the delay guys, but real life has had to take precedent over PCM, sorry
So anyway, here we are with the first stage of the Tour de San Luis!
Stage 1
So before we get this underway, just to confirm the Startlist. We had some problems organising this race as with the new structure, many of the organising officials for the Tour were weeded out. So, with no more ado, here are the runners and riders for this years 7th Tour de San Luis:
So for this first stage, I can't see there being anything other than a Sprint stage today. There is no way that the peleton will let a break go the distance, but it'll be fun to see them try.
And we're off. I hope you're all sitting comfortably and enjoy the show.
And so we have out first attack, straight from the off. And it's Champion Systems C Avery showing off his colours for the team.
He isn't followed straight away, but eventually 3 other riders join him to help form the break of the day and attempt the impossible, whilst getting some good air time simultaneously. The other escapees comprise: C Benedetti of Netapp, M Hepburn of Orica Greenedge and L Keough Of United Health Care.
The peleton keeps them close to begin with, as all the main favourites are checking each other. Yet eventually, just before they make the catch again, everyone relaxes, and the distance starts to go out.
78km: And so the break makes it to the first Intermediate Sprint, with Keough taking the full part ahead of Hepburn and Avery.
65km: Then not too far after this they also make it through the second Intermediate Sprint, though there's a bit of a shake up as this time Avery takes top spot, with Benedetti and Keough taking 2nd and 3rd respectively.
55km: The look at the front of the peleton is decidedly green with Cannondale and Europcar doing most all of the chasing. By this point the lead at the front has already shrunk from 5'30'' down to 3'00''. The breakaway hasn't a hope.
33km: With still over 30kms to go the gap is down to 2'00'' and the break is in sight.
11km: There's been a bit of resurgence in the break which is holding the gap at 45''. The sprint trains are starting to form, and it's all Cannondale at the front of the peleton and Sagan is marshalling his troops superbly.
6km: Yet by 6km, things look a little more fragmented but still looking strong, it's going to be hard to look past Peter today.
5km: And as we go under the 5km to go banner the catch is made, with the Cannondale dominance continuing. The others are going to need to cut in soon if they want any chance.
3km: And they have! With 3km to go there are 3 main trains on the front, so this won't be as easy as Cannondale may like. Have they burnt themselves too early?
2km: With 2km to go it's Viscosio on the front though he's in danger of losing his sprint out Porsev. Sagan looks like he might be in a bit of difficulty as he's a little boxed in, but he's still got support.
1000m: Porsev holds onto his man and is in the lead going under the Flamme Rouge! Sagan is nowhere! Has the Russian got enough of a gap? The Slovakian does have quite an engine on him!
300m: And here he comes! The Slovakian is coming up fast, but Porsev is still holding the lead, can he make it? The line is coming up fast!
Finish line: And he does! The Russian takes the first stage win over the Slovakian turbo power! I really didn't see that one coming! And I'm not sure that Sagan did either!
There was a late split in the pack, with 21 riders falling behind, the most important of whom, Thomas de Gendt, lost 2'15'' on the rest and there goes all his chances for victory. Shame we haven't the Stelvio on this route!

Another win for an unmanaged team. Good report but did you not export the results? |
