That was interesting. Schlecks and Cancellara wanted to control the team, Becca was the only one interested in the merge. And in the end, we're going to have, in a way, Leopard again next season with the Schlecks and Cancellara controlling it.
It shows once again that it's almost impossible to manage those three, even for an experienced guy like Bruyneel (no matter how much contempt I have for him, he's still experienced as a DS).
I remember when Julich was supposed to have Frändy on his TT bike to make his performances a little less disastrous. Or when someone tried to have them race separately.
*insert insult here*
So... Radioshack doesn't want to put any more money in the team, this means no more races for the team, except WT. This also means many riders are screwed for their WC prep, as Bakelants, who was counting on Tour of Britain. Devolder ends season.

Has anyone else read the Bruyneel interview on CN? I quite enjoyed it.
Shows just how bad the situation was at RadioTard last year. Trying to manage the Schlecks and Luigi sounds just as frustrating as you'd guess.
Just read the thing. Schlecks & Cancellara sound like a bunch of assholes, if you ask me I feel almost sorry for Bruyneel
That's just one side of the story. I'd be very happy to read an interview with Cancellara about the situation too.
That sound exactly like the Schlecks and Cancellara though
Can't really blame them, Schlecks and Cancellara were quite successful working like this under supervision of Kim Andersen. And then Bruyneel comes in, wanting to change everything. This story definitely has two sides.

The Schlecks successful? When? Finishing 2nd for the third in year in a row in the only race that you give a shit about is definitely not successful racing.
Yet they were far more successful than after Bruyneel took over. I don't want to say that Schlecks and Cancellara are doing everything perfect on their own, but they do deserve to voice their opinions about the (lack of) co-operation with Bruyneel.
My mistake. I was confounding his case with Anthony Charteau's (yet another Europcar rider...) who got nailed for lack of cortisol more or less at the same time.

Didn't you mean to post this at another thread, with the Turgot discussion going on?

Absolutely. You just won't believe any of Johann Bruyneel words. Proffesional liar.
