Nah, he will be glad for top25 at Vuelta, but he certainly has some high ambitions!

TBH, remembering Hesjedal's break on stage 4 in TdF2010, I would like to see him doing Paris-Roubaix!
He was racing at Roubaix and Flanders several times earlier in his career, though. But that was before he was as good overall as in recent years. |

EBH will likely recover in time for Vuelta.
He won't be in top shape in 1st week, but will be hoping to hit good form in last week or so. He'll have a free role in targeting stage wins, especially going into breaks. Could well get few stage wins, which should be very good for him, but who knows what shape he'll have.
Decided to quote this since its somewhat Sky related :P

I'm more interested in seeing how Boswell will do! I think he may catch a lot of people off guard as a mountain domestique here.
Boswell is not riding Vuelta, but USA Pro Cycling Challenge w
here he and Dombrowski will be likely the leaders, supported by Froome and Co.
It's a good thing in my eyes Sky decided against a GT for both of them this season, too early, and they already played part in biggest WT races.
Next year expect them to play bigger roles, in terms of results for sure.
Im very inclined to agree. Wiggins days on Sky are numbered if his attitude dont improve. IMO he dropped out of the Giro to ride as the leader in the TDF. He wasnt pleased if you recall that Froome was given the top spot. Then he made alot of remarks in the media about a repeat at the TDF, but when SKY said Froome was still the leader...Wiggins suddenly abandons at near the last moment from the TDF squad. Then he goes on to say that he may of raced his last TDF. To me that is odd, to go from I can win again this year to maybe never riding it again. Sounds more like he is upset he wasnt given the top spot after he left the Giro.
Porte I think maybe given a chance at this or the Giro next season. If not for a bad day it would of been Froome and Porte 1-2 in the TDF. This also would mean a defending TDF champion may have 2 young riders with great potential helping next year. I strongly see Froome riding the TDF and winning it again next season.
This race could well be the riders who want to try to reclaim something lost at the TDF. And also some teams will throw their young riders in to see how they handle it.
While I havent seen Contador mentioned, it wouldnt surprise me to see him try for a top 10 after how he was shoved around by Froome in the TDF. A nice way to end a season for him. I saw Andy mentioned in an article, but he looked better at the TDF than I expected. I think they will let him ride small races to start building for the TDF next year. Plus the rumor he will be switching teams along with Frank. But, he could show up...as for who will be top 3 not a clue.
Pain,Agony,Suffering...Thats why I love cycling!

Poland was his first race after four months break due to knee surgery and he was able to finish 24th overall despite tough mountain stages, even when his knee still hurt according to his words.
I still wonder what he wants to specialize on the road, he is still testing his abilities probably. And he has some!
Well no offence to him, but with his skills and body, he should do classics work, also what interests him more. I don't see him riding top 20 in a GT. Maybe 28th, yeah.
2nd place in Roubaix on first year focused on the road? STICK TO THAT!
He finished 6th. |

No Kruijswijk for the Vuelta. He needs to be operated on his femoral artery. |

Gesink as leader? Oh no, prefer Ten Dam, Mollema or Kelderman() above him actually. Gesink also already rode 2 GTs, so bad idea.

Gesink and leader in the same sentance?
Anyway, he already did Giro and Tour, so I am preety sure he won't be doing Vuelta this year.
Spoiler It's sad how Gesink's career has unwinded though, so much talent and potential..

Fair enough. He didnt look terribly strong in the Tour either. Is kelderman looking good atm. If mollema is going for WC and kruiswijk getting an operation. And where has Luis Leon Sanchez been this season. The vuelta is his home tour. |

He was suspended by Belkin due to doping investigations around him.

He started racing in June already, but Belkin won't let him race Vuelta, because if he performs well in he Vuelta, the Fuentes-stuff will be brought as well. In races like the Tour of Belgium, he doesnt't really get publicity

BTW, if everyone else dopes as well, his results should be similar to now (assuming cycling is clean now)

Nah, it doesn't work like that. Did Santambrogio & Di Luca make a 1-2 Giro Gc in 2013? (they both are suspended now for doping at the last Giro)
Doping doesn't always make you an Armstrong. It can sometimes though
