Sorry about the lack of updates guys. School is killing me. But here is one now.

Vuelta a Espana

Stage 6

Zabriskie and Millar are on the front to keep it all together. The peloton is very stretched.

With 40km to go the break of 14 riders had 2.51 on the peloton.

With 12km to go the favourites group contained Me, Cunego, Schleck, Gilbert and Arroyo.

It was all back together with 3km to go. It was going to be a sprint. I got Gilbertâ€™s wheel.

With 1km to go it was Gilbert in the lead.

It was Florencio who took the win. Great sprint by him. Kroon in 2nd and Gilbert in 3rd.

Stage 7

Today is another stage I can win and thatâ€™s what I hope to do.

The Race

Nicolai went on the attack. He was 2 minutes behind the breakaway.

Millar also attacked.

After almost 30km by himself, Nicolai catches up to the breakaway. Millar is 1.11 behind with 2 other riders.

Millarâ€™s group caught up not much later.

Millar won the mountain sprint and is back in charge of that classification.

Nicolai attacked with 31km to go.

Dan Martin attacked with 28km to go.

Vuelta a Espana

Stage 8

Today is a mountain stage. It is flat most of the way and then it goes up with about 15km to go. It should be an interesting stage.

The Race

It was the man with the rainbow stripes who attacked early today. He is definitely on a mission.

Hushovd took the mountain points to help protect Millarâ€™s jersey.

30km into the stage the leading 4 had 3.41 on the peloton.

Hushovd won the first sprint point.

With 70km to go the breakaway had 9.38 on the peloton. It is still extending as well.

Through the last sprint point Hushovd took 3rd. The break had 10.14 with 41km to go.

With 21km to go Hushovd attacked

Hushovd was caught 5km later.

Contador attacked. I stayed with Schleck hoping his team would catch him.

With 12km to go it was only Martin and me at the front of the peloton.
Hushovd was somehow still hanging onto the breakaway and Leopard â€“ Trek was in complete control.

Hushovd dropped off with 10km to go.

When Schleck attacked I was there.

I took control of the leading group to put time between the group with
Contador and Rodriguez, and to try and drop some riders.

With 500m to go Schleck was leading Sanchez and Sastre and than me.

And Schleck wins again!!!! Sanchez 2nd and Sastre 3rd. I crossed the line in 4th place.

Today I did the best I could. Martin protected me early on the mountain perfectly. He is a great team mate. Unfortunately Schleck did take the mountains classification back but Millar is not finished fighting. After all, it is only 9 points. I did manage to put time between me and 4th place which is fantastic.

I did great. I got 6th place. I even beat Contador!!!! EBH took the win ahead of Cancellara and our trainee Walter Nicolai. I move up to 2nd overall. I am now 2.57 behind Schleck who keeps the overall. This stage could not have been better (except if we had won the stage).

Vuelta a Espana

Stage 10

Today is another mountain stage. I wanna make my mark today and gain time on Schleck or lose no time. I have to pounce soon or it could be all over.

The Race

The first attacks. They were countered by Millar.

Millar won the first mountain sprint and comes closer to the lead.

Millar took the next points as well and is back in charge of the mountains classification.

Martin attacked with 32km to go.

Millar extends his lead again.

The team did a great job but with Le Mevel dropping off before he got my water I was left with none.

With 11km to go it was all together. I was feeling good and still at the front of the race.

With 7km to go I attacked. This put everyone under pressure.

With 4km to go I started to extend my gap. I now had 24 seconds.

No matter how hard they tried, they just could not close my gap.

With 500m to go it was between me and Schleck.

But guess what. He passes me again. He won the stage by half a wheel.

Today was a good race for me. I was in front for 7km but lost it in the last 15m. I am annoyed I didnâ€™t win but I am happy with myself. I congratulated Schleck after the race like I usually do.

Intewerviewer- Frank, did you expect Ryder to give it a go in the stage today?

Frank Schleck- Yes definitely, but I didnâ€™t expect him to go that early on. He really showed that he isnâ€™t here to mess around. He is stronger than I thought he was and I had to really think in the last few kilometres to get
back that gap.
