Hope for Roberto that USADA doesn't set their minds at him. This dominance in his first pro-season in his first GT......

Daggen: Let's hope for a injury-less career then
dienblad: He'll have to deal with doping-controls all his career, I'm afraid. Of course, he had many advantages in the Vuelta, allowing a dominance. Him entering the Tour for example would possibly end in a victory, but it wouldn't be dominance (not in the first years, anyway )
francopell & Wild Dog: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! (and even read it )
JuanMotr: He literally couldn't have had a better Vuelta (except more stage wins) glad you liked the interview as well
fcancellara: Thanks man! It's one of the first times I actually raced all mountain stages. Normally I'm eager to go to the next season by the Vuelta and I simulate most stages, so it was fun to play
sutty68: That's the plan thanks!
lennybernstein: This weekend I should be able to do some more reports, but then I have some busy weeks ahead (suddenly all ill professors at uni decided to come back at the same time) |

WC ITT 2012
I'm so happy with this victory!
- Fabian Cancellara -
Although Roberto Velásquez did not compete here, we feel that a World Championship cannot be overlooked in our documentary.
It was a Hitchock thriller, and Cancellara made it by a tenth of a second!

WC RR 2012
You can't be a true champion unless you lose now and then.
- Roberto Velásquez -
Valkenburg 2012, the first World Championship of Roberto Velásquez. Would he strike gold at the first swing?
Roberto tried to break away two rounds before the finish.
He was caught 10km later and it came to a sprint with a small group.
In the end, Haussler took a brilliant win and would wear the WC jersey for a year!
Roberto was not displeased with his Championship:
Well, if I would have the rainbow jersey, I couldn't be able to wear my National Jersey. Anyway, I shouldn't expect too much, just because I won the Vuelta does not mean I'm the best rider in the peloton. I tried breaking away and it didn't work, maybe next year'll be better. Haussler sprinted excellently and I must congratulate him. I'm happy about my 10th place, so is the national coach and the team. Top 10 was more than we could hope for.
Result
1 | Heinrich Haussler | Team Garmin-Barracuda | 6h38'56 | | 2 | Johny Piqué | Cyclingteam Jo Piels | s.t. | | 3 | Peter Sagan | Liquigas-Cannondale | s.t. | | 4 | Daniele Bennati | Radioshack Nissan Trek | s.t. | | 5 | Fabian Wegmann | Team Garmin-Barracuda | s.t. | | 6 | José Joaquin Rojas Gil | Movistar Team | s.t. | | 7 | Philippe Gilbert | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | | 8 | Christophe Riblon | Ag2r La Mondiale | s.t. | | 9 | Fabian Cancellara | Radioshack Nissan Trek | s.t. | | 10 | Roberto Velásquez | Colombia Coldeportes | s.t. | IanButler |
Roberto would race two more races before finishing his first season, on of them was a monument: Lombardia. |

Well, he gave it his everything, but experience made it against youth
I also have to try to find a balance between a legend dominating and not winnning everything, don't you think? |
