England are atrocious. Per usual.
I don't follow the English news that much, but could this be the first championship where England hasn't allready won before the whole thing starts?
There wasn't much hope at Euro 2012 to be honest. Not much has changed since then.
Edit: Rooney! 1-0. Scrappy but I'll accept it.

We have been slightly above average in a group of average teams - Montenegro, Poland and Ukraine. It's painful.
What is painful? That's England performing at their normal level.

Isn't it logical? English PL is flooded by foreigners. English youth barely gets a chance and the quality of most English hopefuls is therefore pretty poor |

André Almeida? Ricardo Costa? Ruben Micael? Where the fuck is Danny? Or Éder? And why does Josué and Custódio have chances on the team, and not Adrien? I've never seen such a shitty team. |

Take out 5-6 best Portugal players and that team would finish 3rd or 4th in every qualification. |

6-0 for France against Australia ! After 1222 minutes without scoring, Benzema has scored, and the all stadium was singing "he has scored again, he has scored again" !

There's no need for that many.
Take out Ronaldo and Moutinho -> average non-qualifying team
The most laughable thing is that since Pauleta retired they haven't had any even halfway decent strikers. Postiga? Almeida?... it's just... |

Someone scored a goal for Portugal! Yeahhh!
Glad we're back on under-20 and under-21. Benfica only has 1 portuguese playing sometimes and he got the place. Maybe if they and Porto have some more we wouldn't be such an average team. |

Any coach or other insider writing a book on the english youth system says the same thing: they privilege being big and fast and nothing else. That kills talent.
Yup, and it's the same in many other places, notably France, although I'm not sure if they have taken some steps to change it since Blanc pointed it out (with a wrong choice of words admittedly). Germany, on the other hand, are already profiting of a change in that model.

The only good thing about this is that we are trying more than before.
But, still utter crap of course. Just with more chutzba.

Yes, it's not the foreigners. Spanish league is also flooded, but spanish youngsters are great.
Any coach or other insider writing a book on the english youth system says the same thing: they privilege being big and fast and nothing else. That kills talent.
But there's also something else that contributes (less) to it: the weather doesn't allow for the short passing style that develops skills.
The weather? Seriosuly? It rains as much in the Netherlands as it does in England. Yet we almost constantly defy the odds by always developing great technical players (and not 1 good defender lol). |

Too wet to play technical football? Which side of the Dover-cliffs are you playing on?

again isso, half of the netherlands, except maybe the east side, has as much wind as england..
And most of our good players come from the west, close to the north sea, the big cities. |

How much money would it take to get Zlatan a norwegian citizenship? We're good for 3500 billion kroners, just name a price.
