Quite surprising since they have a good set of players like Alba, Martinez, Muniain, Mata, Isco, Rodrigo, Dominguez...
Meanwhile Portugal's hopes for a gold medal vanish as Telma Monteiro got eliminated on her first fight in Judo. |

Czech basketball girls lost also their second match, terrible display that was. They were one of the favourites for the medals.

I know, read it. But I'm totally not into judo, only with the Olympics.

Big LOL at fencing semi right now
Basically, it was 1 second left at a tie. If German Heidemann wouldn't make a point, her South Korean opponent wins. If she does, she wins.
Now, we get 3 short double points, while the clock stays at 1 second. Then, it switches to 0 seconds in the next attempt, but apparently not to 0,0 (not shown in official timing) because the time gets reset to 1 second by the referee.
In the next attempt, Heidemann scores.
Korean coach won't accept this, so now they discuss since 20 minutes whether it was possible to have 5 attemps in 1 point whatever seconds, or if timing was wrong, or if Heidemann made a technical foul or whatever....

Poor Korean. No matter which way they would have decided it would have been unfair imo. This randomly chosen advantage rule is totally shit and doesn`t belong to any sport. |

Yeah. I don't know if she has any good results before, but winning gold as 15 years old in that way is suspicious. ( dominating every heat before) |
