Doesn't look good for Cav by the way, does it? This early increase of pace shouldn't suit him, do you think he has to abandon?
Why the hell would he abandon?
He wasnt the first to drop, chances are the Grupetto has already formed. Theyll do their best to finish in the time limit, but if the group is sufficiently large, it increases their chance of being allowed to continue in the race, even if they miss the time limit, albeit with a points penalty

Today with the best 20 so far. |

Dam, this looks like a smart move. Good on him if it pays off though, he has some balls to attack from 60. |

Remember, favourites will be really soon alone and nobody will want to chase down Schleck so hard.. And still it seems like Contador isn't 100% ok today.. And Andy will have quite good descender Monfort with him.. It will be interesting how much big will be the gap (if any) in the end of the descent..
And Fränk can wheelsuck all the way in the group. If Andy gets caught, Fränk will probably try. |

Also the descent is long and Andy might lose 2min there.
Yeah no way he will lose his gap there. He's got Monfort, but Cadel and the favourites could still gain something. They have to hope Virenque's verdict holds up.

Yeah, if Andy will fail on the Galibier, then there is still Frank as the reserve plan.
