You say they aren't a part of the Netherlands, actually, they are part of the Netherlands

Even when the Dutch Antilles cease to excist. Curaçao will still be part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, just like the Netherlands, Aruba and the other Antille Islands that will be 'independant' Wink

So you're wrong.

You seem to be contradicting yourself a bit here. From what I understand (thank you, Wikipedia!), Curacao and Sint Maarten will be a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, but not the Netherlands itself. Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius will become part of the Netherlands itself.

I must admit I have no idea what this means for athletes from Sint Maarten and Curacao, though. Smile

I suppose they get to compete for themselves, just like Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles.

And the ones from Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius...they'll compete for the Netherlands, I assume?

And I want to end the antilles discussion:

https://www.verteg...0-10-einde

Please let this on stand Crue.

Speaking of National Championships, Michael Rasmussen is competing in the Danish Road Race Championship. I'm sure that Jesper Worre and co. are glad to see him again Pfft

He says he will start for Mexico soon for some years now, but he still participates in the Danish Road Race Championchip. Maybe all the EPO reduced Rasmussen´s brain sizePfft

Kim Andersen has either asked to leave, or been fired, according to who you believe.

Together with another former Saxo Bank big name, Brian Nygaard, he's starting a new team....in Luxembourg.

*hint....hint*

On an "unrelated" note, the Schlecks have still not renewed their contracts and Riis still doesn't seem to have a sponsor for next year.

That's very funny. I was just going to post something similar

Its for Itsmichael, and he is dutch, so he understands it Wink

It's basically what I said all along. Dutch antilles will cease to excist. Curaçao and Aruba will be independant, but still part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

My source this time was the ministry of foreign business (buitenlandse zaken)..so Pfft

So apart from them potentially getting their own UCI-recognized cycling federation which can participate in UCI Rankings and the WC which means De Maar is a genius at some level, itsmichael loses this argument!
