Katusha almost screwed it up tactically all over again, luckily for them, Rodriguez came out of nowhere. Brilliant ride by Evans who had little, if any, team support, unlike the rest of the top 10 finishers. Amazing!

Anton didn't start too early, the only place he could win was on the steep part where Contador almost lost his wheel at one point, it was an all or nothing attack from him. He did the only thing he could have done.
