Worth downloading Id say, it was a great race with Boonen and Cancellara
If you ask me it was bad form to badmouth the mechanics. Sure they had a bad exchange with Breschel but the bike change with Cancellara was amazingly fast. |

And the Breschel bike change wasn't done by a mechanic

Does anyone else hope that Farrar gets a leadership role at P-R? I might be showing some nationalism but he is in much better form than Maaskant and Van Summeren. Top 10 in G-W, Top 5 in Flanders and a win today. |

Sprint results are not that impressive, relegate him to the back of each group he arrives and look at the results before deciding how good he isat cobbels, that said, Maaskant and Van Summeren haven't really done anything this season so there is no reason why he shouldn't be leader

It probably doesn't help that Maaskant got run over by his own team car in RVV. |

Indeed.
But Farrar can be leader all he wants or not, if he gets a top 15 in Paris Roubaix that would already exceed my expactations.
Farrar is not some kind of cobble god, although how some seem to think that on the basis of some defeated group sprints, I do not know. And no, Scheldeprijs is not a cobble race, so I don't 'count' that one.
Maaskant and Vansummeren had no results, but neither did Vansummeren in the previous years he had good PR results and Maaskant really didn't have much or any results either before his 4th place in PR 2008.
That being said, Maaskant is injured because of his own team car (talk about bad luck), so Millar and Farrar can go for own succes.
Just do not think they will come very far |

What do you say Ruben?
Of course is Scheldeprijs a great cobble race, but only because we've got Kristoff at 10th.
(I'm a new member of the norwegian censorship-group that Crommy started, so you better watch out)
Probably watch more out for the fact that I'm back at the forum
Paris-Roubaix is hopefully going to be just as great as I hope, and hopefully there will be at least 2 more riders together with Cancellara and Boonen in the finishing kilometres.

I hope Pozzato is recovered. He would have certainly been with Cancellara and Boonen last sunday. And he would also be this sunday, if he is fit again |

I'm postponing my weekend trip to my uni city just to get to watch the Hell of the North.
I have to admit that for a portuguese cycling fan, that typically just cares about Stage Races, the Spring Classics have completely gathered my interest since I got to see my first P-R in 07. Now I can't even let myself miss any of those races.
Sunday I hope someone else can reach Boonen and Cancellara level to make it more thrilling but I don't think that'll be hapening. Both of them were really strong at RvV and it'll be a really tough task to overcome anyone of them. Anyway I just wish Rui Costa finishes in the top50 that will really make my day

Again - I didn't see the race, so I assumed that it was a mechanic. Let me correct it to DS Torsten Schmidt |

oh no, i don't think millar will be competing for the win but on the basis of recent results and performances i feel that he is at least as good as farrar.

I'd rate Mads Kaggestad as good as Farrar....

Cyclingnews in their Paris-Roubaix preview about Ballan:
Why he can't win: No results of note and he's unproven in the mud should it rain. There's also a rather grey cloud hanging over him in Italy right now so his thoughts might be elsewhere.
Why didnĀ“t they changed that?

I prefer this part:
Matti Breschel:
Having taken 20th in 2008 and 10th in 2009... you do the math.
I did the math. He's going to be 0th?

but he came 14th the year before, you can't just ignore his other results.
He also came 58th in 2005.
Plotting these results gives be that he will in fact come -58th

Actually, thinking about it, using a cubic aproximation is a stupid idea. At this stage in his career an exponential prediction is more sensible, which gives him an expected result of 6.
