i think steegmans will ride the tour but will have to work for the team and only will sprint in two or three stages...
his skills (not sprinting) are ca. as good as the skills of rast but he has got better chances to get a stage win
that´s important for radio shack, too, because i don´t think armstrong will be in the top 3 again

No BMC because Evans wants to ride Tirreno-Adriatico and without him, there's no invite.
Nice to see Saur invited

The Tour of Poland is going to have a memorial on the penultimate stage for the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. The riders are going to stop at the front gate of Auschwitz I for a minute of silence, with a rider from every different participating country moving to the front. Then the riders will continue on, passing Auschwitz II - Birkenau before heading off for the rest of the stage.
I'm really happy they are doing it, and can't wait to see it. |

Thats going to be a very emotional stage.
Glad to see that this race will be paying tribute in this way. I will watch. I've had the honour of chatting to a survivor as part of my studies, he was one of the lucky ones but still a very harrowing story.

Funny. I had no idea. Funny because it's a coincidence. I've been re-watching the very acclaimed "World at War" BBC documentary series on WWII over the past few days.
I get chills just remembering my grandparents' description of the crisis and famine in those days.....and this in a country that wasn't even in the war.
Nice to see the organizers pay tribute

It should also be noted that Team Milram, as the only Pro Tour team, hasn't been invited. |

Didn't realize that. Ouch.
Meh, the sooner that team is euthanized, the better for the riders on it.

Werent Milram the team that missed out on the 'Top X Spots' that ensured ProTour selection, based on the UCI rankings of last year?
And it looks like no Footon in Paris-Nice either

Yeah, I can't throw my support behind a team whose best GC rider looks like he has no y chromosome. |

Ricco's partner has strangely enough tested positive for CERA at the women's National Cyclocross champs in Italy.
Surprised? Not an ounce.

Riccò hasn't been tested for almost 2 years because of his ban.
I'm sure he has got "a bit" of it too
