Why aren't we all talking and freaking out about the blood transfusion equipment found in Astana's garbage bins during the Tour that several members of the team are going to be called to testify about?
According to the genetic profiling done on the equipment, it was used on seven different people (read: riders)
Is this the same thing from the tour where they found diabetes supplies, epilepsy medication and such in a medical waste container provided by the UCI?
Or is this new?
If it is the same thing... I'm going to be really suprised if anything with a rider's DNA on it is in there. Probably a masseuse has epilepsy, a team doctor has diabetes, and Bruyneel himself has high blood pressure. It just strikes me as odd that you'd dispose of doping materials in a container that is actually marked to be picked up by the group testing for doping. |

Nice post deadpool.
In other news, Basically every time a race is "postponed a year" it means it's deader than dead and it won't come back. Fans tend to refuse to accept that, but it's a fact 99% of the time.
Remember how the Tour of Georgia was "cancelled but would no doubt be back in 2010"? cancelled again. According to the organizers it'll "surely be back in 2011".
Right.
It's a shame. One of the few cycling events I could actually attend.
Of course I only did once... for one day. Maybe that says a lot about american cycling fans. I'd rather watch on TV or the internet and see the whole race then stand outside and watch a few hundred yards of it. |

It's the same thing and it includes blood transfusion material. That can't be used for anything other than blood transfusions.
Who needs a blood transfusion other than riders?
And it's illegal material. They're looking at jail time. If the police isn't corrupt, a doping suspension is the least of their worries.
EDIT: And since we're on the subject of riders' programmes, King Koldo won't ride the Tour but he will ride the Vuelta.

Back to French media, when i was in France this year, the French media were Armstrong fan boys. I remember when i was in Paris the headline of L'Equipe was "Bravo le Texan" - Nothing about Contador winning, it was more Congrats Lance.

Right.
That's what I tried telling people when making the DB. "But it comes back for next year, so let the race stay in the DB!". |

Also, some 'Danish' news: As already mentioned, four Danes are on the pre-Tour de France Saxo Bank team, at least three of them will be selected. Bak has a good chance at Columbia - and now, Footon has confirmed that Martin Pedersen is on their Tour de France team.
Looking good. |

Moncoutié is considering skipping the Tour after his failures of the past three years and focusing instead on the Vuelta and the Dauphiné (where he's always had stage wins and high GC placings)

If 2009 Astana is taken down by this investigation, i know one rider who won't be.
Levi Leipheimer
why you ask?
The samples were taken from the bins after he left the TDF.
Merry Christmas Levy.

Shows what can happen if dopers were not in the Tour, he would win! |

Kreuziger is smart. He knows that he can keep a lot more of any future TdF prize money in Oman

Someone's been kind enough to put Armstrong's blood values into the form of graph.
Can his doping be ANY more obvious?

Erm, no, he had, urrm, black pudding. Yeah that's right. Black pudding is his favourite tour food. The extra iron from the dried blood means his haematocrit increases lots. Yeah, that'll fool em.
