A tweet by Lars Boom;
Just watched cyclocross on the laptop thanks to my girlfriend and the webcam. And also with 10guys in my room.
For a pro cycling team there would surely be a better way to watch a World Cup, right? |

Went to Hoogerheide myself. Was a good race. Rain before it to get the course muddy, but no rain while the race was held. Perfect.
Must say that Albert made a nice comeback after a rubbish start, but what I noticed most of all is the huge difference in speed between the women and men. On the muddy sections they'd be going twice as fast it seemed.
Also nice detail; The Mongolian riders got farther up the steep hill before jumping off the bike then Albert Not that it helped them at all, but... |

Don't think so.
Stybar will be the man to beat. The whole Czech team will work for him, and maybe Pauwels and Wellens are willing to give a hand as well if needed.
It'll be up to Nys and Albert to work together. If they ride for the country, they can beat Styby. If they ride for their own ego's, Stybar is the man.
I'm just hoping there won't be any mechanical problems for anyone.
And btw; Marianne Vos and David van der Poel FTW at the womens and U18!!!

I think Pauwels will be really suprise of WCs. He was really strong in Hoogerheide. If he can't get a medal it must be a dissapoitment for him How else I think it will be Albert vs. Stybar. In womens I think the dark horse is Katerina Nash. She should be very strong at home

In that case Stybar and Nys are the big favourites and Pauwels might surprise. |

Oh, I don't doubt it'll be his best race of the season - just not good enough for the victory |

So, in 40 minutes the Juniors race starts. Can't wait to see the course
A few headlines on the Sporza site;
Meeusen; 'This is my final chance to win' - He won the World Cup last week and is a snowspecialist.
Nys; 'I think I can very well win here.' 'Snow is my speciality and my form is great'
Stybar; 'The course is perfect for me.'
Sytbar trains "a bit" too much on the stairs. Those stairs could be decisive in the race.
And Albert? Nothing on him... |
