Saw you guys talking about the Tour d Avenir. I was just wondering why Columbia didnt pick Dayer Quintana? With his shape at the moment he would be the out right favourite right now. Im sure coldeportes has mentioned it before, but is it politics or doesnt or whats the reasoning behind not picking the more talented riders?
And go Cort! |

I believe WT riders aren't allowed in U23 races.

I believe Selwink is right indeed, though Vervaeke(who joined Lotto at 1/7, not as stagiaire) is participating in Avenir too, which confuses me.
Btw, Avenir discussion is going on here

He started the year in the U23 team ( which means he's eligible )

I figured that, yes.
Just thought that making the step up to WT would make him invalid for U23 races in the rest of the season.

I guess that tomorrow's second stage of Baltic Chain Tour from Riga to Sigulda has just won the price for the most exaggerated and dramatic stage profile. Ever.

You're obviously on vacation whenever Tour of Turkey approaches
Plus, that actually looks like 1k@7% at the end, so it's not entirely deceiving.

Agreed, Smoku. That's worse than Turkey profiles.
Or is it?

Well yes, I am aware that Turkish profiles stand firmly in this competition. And yes - I do acknowldedge they wanted to outline this climb and they do have a point in that. But Turkey was never such a drama queen. |

Portugal did something I never saw before, which was making the gradient changes equidistant to each other instead of simply the distance (duh), meaning a 100m flat part looked just as long as a 800m hill...

Indeed the most hilarious profile picture at all.
I should have done things like this in my math exams. |

This USAPCC coverage is pretty good! The displayed gap times are horrible though!

Good way of race promotion race by organizers of USAPCC. Some other races can take example from their Tour tracker which also allows gives live coverage/gaps/etc. Unlike Tour of Poland and Eneco tour which despite being WT races were not even covered well, especially when I was out of UK. |
