Btw, there wasn't ANY offside involved in that goal, Sporza analyzed it with replays a few time, and cleary no offside. Holland should be happy that they didn't get 2 red cards in the first half. Off the yellow cards Holland got only 1 or 2 could be doubted.
And yes, Robben fucked up, not the ref. Puyol also did nothing wrong, although if we would have holded Robben one second longer, or Robben would let himself fall, then Pujol would have gotten his red card.
Edit: https://www.sporza...s/1.823757
Proof that there is no offside.

He didn`t choose the right box every time. At least two times he was on the left side.
Smart animal -.- |

Well no matter what, the Dutch have no reason to complain about anything, just makes them look even more umsympathetic if you ask me.
The only team on the pitch that tried to play football won, and well-deserved that was! End of story!

Howard Webb should never try to enter the Netherlands again.
Yes Spain was better.
Yes the Dutch yellow and red cards were deserved
But also yes he never gave the Spanish a booking until he really had no other way, and same with fouls
And the worst part, he didn't gave a corner prior to the 0-1, which practically led to the goal.
Pathetic referee for a World cup final.

dude free kick of sneijder was clearly a corner and elia was obstructed and then spain had a counter with the goal. so the ref did f*ck us. spain was a bit better bit they won because of mistakes by the ref |

*sigh*
Spain didn't win because of mistakes by the referee. If you want to blame the referee, why not blame him for not sending off De Jong, Robben and Van Bommel? |

All I can say is that it's one of the most disgusting games I've ever seen. Awful awful refereeing, the Spaniards diving all over the place, the Dutch making the most cynical fouls - not even the Italians at their darkest moments would show so much disrespect for the game.
Thank God the World Cup is over. Come to think of it, after such a "final" and such a tournament, perhaps it'd be better if the World Cup was ditched for good... |

That was indeed a corner, but if every fault would have had it 'justified' consequence, then Holland would have ended the match with 8 players on the field.

Yeah, and Spain would have had 6 more bookings for diving.
You got to be fair. The cynical fouls from our team were embarssing, I agree. Van Bommel should have red and de Jong as well.
But the diving from Spain was terrible as well. And the referee destroyed the match by giving free kicks to easily, then you get that kind of match with many cynical fouls, cards, and many many dives
Diver of the match was Iniesta. A shame, because he was also the best player on the pitch, and of the world cup.
And the worst player on the pitch, was, aside from De Jong with his idiotic kick, Van Persie, who once again shows 0.0
Also. The last change Van Marwijk made this world cup? He brought on FUCKING EDSON BRAAFHEID :x
No, we didn't deserve to win, absolutely agree.
But I still think the referee destroyed the final of any fun. And besides De Jong and Van Bommel Spain wasn't helping much either with disgusting behaviour in diving and asking for cards |

Spain deserved to win. I hate when players complain and wine to the ref. Like Robben did!

Ironic isn't it. For once robben doesn't fall when he should, and he gets punished for it. Probably karma.
But it was a terrible match, where the lesser of evils won. |

Since the first Spain vs Switzerland match I knew Spain would go very far and win. Although they did score few goals, their play was just stunning till the end - they ruled all matches
Spain deffo deserved to hold the WC in their hands!

Absolutely
It's just a shame the final was a horrible game. Partly by the Dutch team making horrible fouls.
Partly by the refree making horrible decisions
And partly by the diving of Villa and Iniesta.
Shame, I suppose it wasn't good to watch for the neutral fan.
Spain is just amazing in ball possession. They do impossible things and passes.. |

A referee like Webb isn't good for football
If you allow karate kicks from de Jong in a match, by all chance you should really just stop. |
