Descending on wet sand roads and then neutralize the race as soon as the asphalt starts again.
Only 10km left and obviously they will restart from there. But only the race officials will know in what order.
Kebler Pass descent neutralized. Peloton is small but the chaos looks quite massive.
EDIT - zabel'd. Seems some riders managed to join the peloton while the outrage started. Wonder if they will be spotted by referees.

Riders at least are not happy at all.
Before I got Zabel'd, luckily you already wrote everything I wanted to.
Quite a bad crisis handling there obviously. I have no knowledge of the course but if TJVG says they're already through the worst part, that's a fuck-up.
No way they can restore the order, and the nervousness and the cold will facilitate crashes more than simply racing probably would've done imo.

Perfect roads now. So I have no idea why they stopped the race.
Solo leader Carpenter looked so much better before the neutralisation...totally lost his rythm.
But he apparently gained 30 seconds. I'm all for breakaway wins, but fair and square, please.
The peloton split up on the descent as well, so not only were there more guys in it than should've been, now it has a completely different composition than before with "wrong" people dropped too...

Bit of waste he'll have to work for Louis in Avenir, since he could do preety good himself, but they will switch the roles where Belgium team will be riding for Benoot at the Worlds.

Can someone explain what happened in stage 2 of the USPCC. I was going to watch the stage on tour tracker later but dont think I want to at this point.

Majka not looking good today. Perhaps that stop for 20 min hit him hard.
Well. There is still a few stages to go.
TVG looks good to take this race overall.
Majka lost 20 sec to TJ - not much but in terms of GC I wouldn't see him as a threat to TJ. Maybe a podium contendant? All will depend on MTT.

I'm curious if he will go for GC. He showed in last year's Tour de Pologne he is a capable climber. But he tends to fade away as the race progresses most of the time.
