Thanks all for the comments. Indeed one of the best and also surprising results in this Tour. Had a lot of luck that I chose Van Den Broeck`s wheel in the end.
Next stage will be a very tough one, so hopefully I can stay with the riders above me to challenge them in the time trial. Not sure yet, but maybe I won`t attack on that stage as it`s quite senseless on that one and so I could secure the top 15 hopefully.
@ tovhol: Thanks for the kind words but top 10 will be very very hard. |

Thanks all.
@ Bosskardo: Thanks. Nice to see some new reader.
I have some problems at the moment. I can`t play the 20th stage as the game just skips this one without any result? Anybody with the same problem and a solution?
Also the game crashes when I click the U23 menu. Time that the season will be finished. |

Alpe d`Huez. It`s just skipping the stage. I might have made a mistake when I edited the DB to ahve this variant. But I can`t find any wrong thing there. |

You crash at loading or just forget it?

I think he means the game skips the stage like he's not taking part howewer it doesn't even give simulated results, like the stage didn't exist.
Hope sb has some ideas, I don't.

Exactly. Just skipping without any simulating results. So I could only continue with the final stage. But this kind of sucks as there could be important changes in this stage. Not necessarily for me and the overall win but still a few. |

Hmm.. sounds weird. Never had a problem like this. Did you check, if the stage is on the correct date/day?

Yes. I can click and see the profile in the calendar without any crashes or problems.
I tried a weekly save but the same. All stages are normal, but this stage is skipped.
If I can`t handle this problem this evening I will skip it and play the time trial tomorrow instead. |

see if the game has counted it as a rest stage?
Usually you will have to change the rest day in the db to a different day. |

No rest stage problem.
So I now skipped the stage and played the time trial.
Tour de France - Stage 21
Versailles - Paris Champs Elysees
Different to the last years the final of the 2012 Tour de France is a timetrial like in the 80s, where great pictures of the fight between LeMond and Fignon were created.
This time it`s not that close but still a great scenery to finish a GT.
Sanchez is aiming a top 15 today. Therefore he has to overtake Laurens Ten Dam, which should be possible and avoiding to lose time on Lövkvist, who is the a bit better time trialist.
Cancellara is the big favourite today, but in the end of a GT everything is a bit different as recovery is an important fact. But no surprise that he takes the best time by far at the moment.
55'58
Fuglsang is quite isolated on the 26th. Not what he expected before. A pity that his active riding wasn`t rewarded.
With the best time trialists still coming behind him he is provisional 2nd at the moment with a big gap to the Suisse.
58'02
Is Tony Martin fresh enough to beat Cancellara? He had a great season so far and obviously he wasn`t able to hold this level in the Tour. Also todays time is very good but not good enough to win.
56'27
Big moment for Luis Leon Sanchez. A top 15 would already be less than he wanted before the Tour. But due to the very strong field this was the maximum for him. His time is quite good. Let`s see what it is worth.
57'04
Bradley Wiggins as one of the big favourites today. The podium is out of range for him but the 4th is still possible for him. In general his Tour de France was quite successful.
Just 5s to Cancellara beating Martin.
56'03
Meanwhile Lövkvist beated Sanchez by 45s. He must have had a very good day today. So he will overtake Sanchez and jump on the 15th as both of them overtook Ten Dam easily.
But still good news. Soler, 14th before with almost 3min ahead had a bad ride. So both of them overtake the Columbian by a few seconds and the 15th is going to Luis Leon Sanchez.
Van Den Broeck with his first GT podium. He really deserves this after being injured in most of 2011. Also good ride by him today.
57'56
For Andy Schleck it`S just riding through Paris knowing that he will stay on the 2nd. It`S still a great result for him but he is still waiting for his first GT win. He is definitely strong enough but always Contador is ahead of him.
57'50
Contador is already seeing Schleck ahead of him. A very good time by him.
The dominator of the 2012 Tour de France was never struggling and is the deserved winner. Not enough as he also wins the stage 24s ahead of Cancellara.
55'34

Overall
No one was able to beat him and so he takes another TdF victory. Very well done by the Spaniard. With Andy Schleck and Van Den Broeck two strong and still "young" riders follow him on the podium with more than 5min back. Both of them will have good chances to step up in future.

With his dominance in the mountains and time trials Contador also takes the green jersey. It`s the first time since many years that no sprinter is winning this one. Especially due to the hard course it wasn`t possible for them to win.
But a big compliment to Haussler, who stayed in the top5 of this ranking. He is also the only sprinter next to Sagan, who finished the Tour de France.
Riders like Boonen, Hagen, Cavendish, McEwen, Greipel or Bennati had absolutely no chance coming over the mountains.

KoM:
With two big solo rides in the 2nd week Nibali wins the KoM jersey deserved. In the previous years it was enough to have as many points as the 8th to win the jersey with not even half of his points. Not this time obviously.

U25:
Greates come back of this Tour. After a crash on the first days and an injury Van Garderen lost several minutes and started the goal "White Jersey" with 30min back to strong riders like Sagan, Taaramae or Bonnafond. Alone in the third week he gained more than this time back on them and wins dominant ahead of Taaramae and Sagan and takes the 2nd GT Youth ranking after the Giro 2011.
Of 25 starting U25 riders just 10 finished the race. Löw as only Garmin rider as 9th due to his big problems in flat stages.

Team:
The team ranking was easily won by Leopard - Trek. They finished the race with 7 riders. Just Garmin had so many riders left in the end. Sky with just 2 riders (Wiggins/Kennaugh) had the negative record.
