I watched yesterday and the only man who did any work was Contador, the only thing Sella did was in the end when he attacked a little bit...

that's not an italian alliance - all the others were behind Di Luca on GC and had no reason to work - they would deliberately put Contador into trouble so as to make him crack and take time from him - it's not a national conspiracy, just most giro contenders are italian.
