Better than the 3-0 loss in group play, we might have some confidence now in WC Qualifiers instead of playing like a B-squad. |

The problem was starting to defend the score so early in the game. With a team with an attacking power like Brazil, that's gonna cost you.
Their defense sucks and the US stopped pushing on the counter way to early.

Words cannot describe how great a person he was to everyone.
In pure footballing terms, a lot of people owe their careers to Robson.
If it wasn't for him, Mourinho wouldn't be Inter manager but would be god knows where.
If it wasn't for him Rui Faria wouldn't be considered one of the world's foremost coaching gurus but would probably still be trying to find a job out of college
And if it wasn't for him, André Vilas-Boas wouldn't be chief scout of first Chelsea, then Inter, but would instead still be "the unemployed kid with a high school diploma who used to live next to Robson and talk to him about football"
Around here no one will ever forget Sir Bobby. What a legend.

You know how african national teams tend to dominate youth competitions? And how a lot of people argue that it's because the players are far older than they claim to be?
For the first time, Nigerian players for the youth world cup were forced to undergo carbon-based age testing.
The nigerian FA refuse to divulge the results that were obtained yesterday..... but "happened" to mention that 15 players have been, by sheer coincidence, dropped from the squad today

FIFA has stated that Chelsea won't be able to make transfers until January 2011, due to an argument between the club and Lens, a french club, concerning the illegal transfer of a 18-year-old player who had a contract with Lens.
In other news, watching Vuelta's stage to Liège reminded me of the serious injury of Wasilewski, an Anderlecht player : leg completely broken, 1 year and more to recover
Good luck for him
And Ranieri to AS Roma

Aalborg BK signed American player Chris Rolfe starting January 1 2010, anybody who knows something about him (except what I can see from YouTube scoring-videos)? |

He is 26 years old and have played aproximately 10 matches for the US national side.
As an attacker that is fairly decent, because they have Donovan, Adu, McBride and Jozy Altidore playing normally... |

Adu
Adu barely ever plays, and when he does it's because of reputation. He's awful and he'll never be a good player, let alone a great player. Much less an elite player like he was supposed to become in the media.

I never said anything about him being good, but the fact that he never plays isn't correct... |

When he arrived in Monaco everyone said he was wonderful, great talent.
Then he played some good matches. And then back to low level during the rest of the year. But at the end, he wasn't playing anymore (at least in Monaco)
