I'm still interested, yeah!
At first, I can't survive on PCMdaily if you don't have a story, it's such a good read
But seriously, it's not like they really win everything yet. Willy has to do a GT triple, and Stijn has to win all the cobbled classics + WC in one year, and needs to win a lot of GT stages
Until then, I'm still interested

I wouldn't quit the story until they've won a monument and a GT. After that, I can agree it might become a bit boring to find new challenges. I've also been following your story with Stijn & Eric which was very similar, so if you decide to start a new one, I would do something different.
I think the developement was nice, I mean, taking it slower would be boring, it would take too long before they start winning. Developing too fast would make them invincible in 2 years. I think it was pretty much spot on.
In the end it's up to you, but rest assured I'm not planning to stop following this yet!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

What's the point of letting them develop if you stop right before the big wins are coming? I think it's fine and as long as you don't win every race you're entering or dominate the Giro by 10 minutes, you're absolutely fine.

And you can always try to bring a few amazing 'Ian-made' talents in, like Johnny Pic

We definetely need a GT-win and some proper cobbles domination before this story is truly over!

sutty68 - Good to hear
Jesleyh - Thanks a lot, I guess you've in here for a long time to come, then
Ollfardh - My net story (whenever that is) will definitely be something different. Other kind of rider, team story or on a lower level (not WT), but hopefully that's still a long way. Hope you stick around after a monument and GT, though. But that choice is all yours, of course
cunego59 - Very true Thanks for your input. Paris - Nice was a bit coincidental with the surprisingly weak field. Giro will be tougher to win and 10 minutes advantage will be impossible, probably
Jesleyh - Already working in that, subtly I got some young guys with great potential coming up, sprinters (Cau is one), cobbled riders (some Belgians and a Frenchman), some climbers are on their way
krisa - Thanks! A good week for the team!
Miguel98 - Good to hear, thanks!
Atlantius - We'll see if we can get one of those this season
Thanks for the input, everyone! Like I said before, the plan is play until their retirement. It may be a bit optimistic but I think it's possible. We'll see how they develop further and what happens, however. No need to continue a story when it's bleeding dry, right.
But now I feel it's still very much alive, so onto San Remo!
I just tried to play Milano - San Remo but there was a problem. I'll try again tomorrow and hope the problems will be solved. If not, I will have to simulate it... |

I can imagine your next story already, you start off with an extrememly weak CT team with 2 riders and every season you add 2 new Neo Pro's to the squad until you have a full team of Ian Made riders with all of them giving blog updates through different stages of the season.

I could take it further and suggest he has the whole peloton giving updates , although I'm not sure the server could handle that at the speed Ian seems to post his updates.

Nice GC win this story has to continue

wroblitz - Everyone suffers from motivational issues from time to time but now's not that moment. with the cobbled classics coming up, I'm very excited!
sammyt93 - Nice idea a story that can keep going, by the time the 2 originals will retire, there will be a big team with fresh talent with my team of atomic supermen, I will rule the world!
Miguel98 - TOO LATE!
sammyt93 - An entire peloton may be too much even for me
PCM rulezz - Thanks! Story is definitely continuing for the time to come, thanks for the support!
I'll try to do San Remo again now, with lowered graphics. Should I fail, it'll be quick sim. (and given the current form Stijn has a big chance to win, since quick sim always ends in a sprint ) |

Milano - San Remo 2015
Stijn: Well. It's La Primavera. My expectations are high. Never have I felt better starting here. I'm dreaming, no hoping, for the win!
Willy: Considering Stijn's form, I will put myself 100% to work for him.
Willy Wouters
I said I'd work for Stijn, and so I did. I was the last one to see him alive before the finish, I brought him to the top of the Poggio and then it was up to him!
Stijn Van Gent
A big danger, a man in form: Mark Cavendish. We had to get rid of him.
Some team thought it would be nice to make it an extremely hard race, with an incredibly fast pace. By the way, that was us. Thanks to Tiernan-Locke and Vanmarcke in particular!
And I saw my world crumble. A pretty large group reached the top of the Poggio. An attack by Breschel and... all eyes on me. Total bluff.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Nobody did a thing. In the end I had to start the sprint way too early, exactly the same as last year!
Jesus! It's happened again. I could've murdered someone, so to speak.
1. Breschel
4. Van Gent
A big disappointment. Finishing fourth, okay. But this way, again? Personally, I think placing all responsibility on the shoulders of a 25 year old rider is not sportsmanlike. With riders like Degenkolb, Cancellara, Gilbert and Tom Boonen, all with team mates left, you wouldn't expect that. I don't think I'll be returning here next year.
See you for the cobbled classics,
Stijn |

A shame the other teams refused to work with Stijn ... Willy should have saved his energy to accompany Stijn until the end |

Then there should have been better team mates, if Stijn was Cavendish he would propably slaughter his teammates now |

Shame that it went like this. I fear that this will happen in the future as well, Stijn is a big guy now...

4th is still good but not when the peloton does that.
