I think that was evidenced in even the climbing stages of Tour de L'Ain. He lost a lot of time. |

Of corse you do. I think he wont get any chanche for that..if Vino is already there..then Horner is he's helper.
Yea, I guess we could see a split squad again......but more would be there that probably like Horner |

yep..only TT is place where he can hunt stage win..
It's damn hard to come back to GT after 2 year break..
Basso should be ready now..he can win this race..at least strong podium candidate.

ASO will be crying if they see how fun GT can be to watch..
Hint for ASO..do not take mountain top finishes away...40 km TTT middle of the race...can kill the competition |

Blaming the TTT for this year's tour is unfair.
If the TTT wasn't there, they'd replace it with an ITT instead (the tour was very light on TT's otherwise... 3 TT's of some variety is pretty much a minimum for most TDF's... 2008 being a VERY rare exception... which is a big reason Sastre could win the race).
How would this have changed things? Very little. It would likely have given Contador more of a lead on the Schlecks then the TTT did... it might have helped Wiggins and Armstrong against the Schlecks.
It certainly wouldn't have helped anyone against Contador. |

I'm assuming by "fear" you mean "fair" (I know you're not a native english speaker).
Okay... here's the way I look at it. Let's say instead of the TTT they had a duplicate of the last ITT... with the same results. (I know this isn't exactly how it would be, but we've got to guess how an ITT would end up in some way and it's the best I could come up with.
GC contenders before the stage:
Armstrong - leader (amongst GC guys)
Contador - + '19
Wiggins - + '20 (though we didn't think him a GC guy at the time)
Kloden - + '23
Evans - + '24
Kreuziger - + '33
Rogers - + '33
Nibali - + '38
Vandevelde - + '58
Andy Schleck - + 1'01
Sastre - + 1'07
Frank Schleck - + 1'47
GC results after the stage (with what it was after the TTT in parens):
Contador - Leader (+ '19)
Wiggins - + '44 (+ '38)
Kloden - + '58 (+ '23)
Armstrong - +1'11 (leader)
Evans - + 1'19 (+ 2'59)
Rogers - + 1'52 (+ 1'32)
Nibali - + 2'24 (1'36)
A. Schleck - + 2'27 (+ 1'41)
Vandevelde - + 2'39 (+ 1'16)
Kreuziger - + 3'30 (+1'31)
F. Schleck - + 4'02 (+ 2'17)
C. Sastre - + 4'35 (+2'44)
If you look... the only person CLOSER to the lead with a TT there rathter than a duplicate performance of the last TT is Evans. Overall the race was TIGHTER amongst the leaders due to having a TTT rather then an ITT. |

Don't include the rest of us in that category thanks. I was fully aware of what he was aiming to do, and what he was quite capable of. (Regardless of all the haterz out there )

If Astana put Vino as team leader, I reckon there will be a mass exodus of riders after the season because it will be out of order them getting behind when he has not been there for a month after coming back from a ban, if I was Horner, Zubeldia, Kloden n other spanish and americans in the team I know I would leave. |

Actually if any American riders besides Leipheimer, Horner, or Phinney go to Radio Shack, it probably is in that way |
