Tour Mediterraneen Stage 1 (TTT) Gruissan - Gruissan
This is our first big race in europe and the first one we will be repoting on. With all the team back in europe, coming back from Maylasia, we felt whole and very strong. All ready stationed in the area the guys who will be supporting Dowsett all had good moods and top morale.
"This race will be very hard in the sprint due to big named sprinter Hushovd and Furlan" said Boasson Hagen
The team we a strong TT force with junior Pursuit world Champ Andy Tennant and of course the guy himself Dowsett.
There was vert little coverage of the race but we did mange to get 1 picture.
The guys started off very slow and it showed there inexperience... At the first time check they were only 10th fastest... That gave them a bit of anger and they decided to rip up the Tarmac and dash for Gruissan...
The pace was so high and we managed to shell of a few riders. In the town it self the finish was dead straight so Dowsett with Hagen on the wheewent for it and did his 8 seconds on the front before moving across for Hagen. Hagen gave it that little sprinter injection of pace and managed to destroy the times of everyone else.

Tour Mediterraneen Stage 2 Narbonne - Agde
The Dominating performance yesterday left the guys hungry wanting more but i told them, if you get greedy you'll never win anything! We are trying a new RR system at the moment let the team choose what they want to do. It seemed to be working well...
"I put down, sit in under a bit of protection and wait for the sprint." said... Who? You try and guess
It was a cold day today and the brand new legs and arm warmers were out .
They rolled out of Narbonne fairly slowly and about 20km in the racing really began!
A early attack managed to go a long way and the teams with the sprinters except C.A. chased hard.
With 15 km left the group was caught and confused Kennaugh and Peron who were tring to push hard away from the bunch.
The sprint got into full flow with Hushovd blowing hard Kennaugh in the centre...
Hushovd gets it, Kennaugh 3rd! Good news...

Tour Mediterraneen Stage 3 St Cannat - Marseille
It was a normal day today, faily flat with a few climbs. They probably would be able to get rid of anyone but they're still climbs. The was a climb about 10km from the end and if any got away on that it would be hard to catch them at the end.
The team pushed hard about half way into the race to pull the break of 6 in, Tennant felt good and put the pace up significantly and chomped into the gap...
On the base of the climb Boasson Hagen went for it!! Getting a gap over the peleton...
Coming to the top he had Pavel Brutt up behind him who would be stronger?...
On the desent Chavanel had joined them, Hagen was stuck on the front, he had the better sprint and why drinking he was thinking, lets hope he makes the right decision...
He left the sprint really late but his power was unmatched and he easily won!! His first victory...
Back in the pack, that had offically caught the break, Peter Kennaugh couldnt help but celebrate for his team mate, hope he will win soon...
So what an amazing stage that put Hagen back in yellow.

Tour Mediterraneen Stage 4 Greasque - Toulon-Mont Faron
The win yesterday put the team in a real good mood and put us on top of most successful team, in a different race Robart Hunter had moved away in the individual ranking it would take a lot to catch him.
"I hope i can keep the jersey or at least get it back for the end." said Boasson Hagen
Its a fairly hilly stage today with the nasty Mont Faron climb at the end with an average gradient of 9%.
The team did an excellent job controling the break a strong Andy Tennant put the majority of the work in...
On the second to last climb Dowsett tried to follow Gadret, memories from the Tour Down Under!..
Gadret went over the top and used his desending skills to pull away. Chavanel had come over top in between the remanders of the break and on the desent put himself into second...
Gadret won and the pain of the climb showed...
With Chavanel second the sprint for third was on, Josep Jufre Pou took it Hagen didnt lose his time to Gadret but Chavanel was now leader...
Stage
1 John Gadret AG2R PREVOYANCE 2h32'09
2 Sylvain Chavanel COFIDIS + 41
3 Josep Jufre Pou PREDICTOR - LOTTO + 1'04

The climb didnt split the peleton enough for the guys to drp away and we are still in a big clumb outside the top ten.
