Pergola - Monte Petrano
This stage has all kinds of climbing, with three categorized high mountains, including a mountaintop finish with a very difficult gradient at Monte Petrano, and a smaller climb about a third of the way into the stage. It also has five short uncategorized hills.Queen stage..

Chieti - Blockhaus
By kilometers, this stage was incredibly short. The first 44 kilometers of this course were almost perfectly flat, followed by a slight increase in gradient for the next 16, followed by an exceptionally steep final 23 kilometers.
..and final climb..Liquigas at the front ..they are planning something for Nibali. Where is Pellizotti anyway ..he started a tour well enough..now Nibali has taken over team leader role..
Pozzovivo is one nervous fellow..he has atacked first almost on every mountain stage..Botcharov follows..17km. to go..
15.6 klm. to..Leon Sanchez, Garate and Garzelli
..LPR controlling a race..this is steady and fast pace... Plaza has a small problems already to keep up..
Soler atacked..he has cought Garate and Pozzovivo 12km. to go..
There is 10km. banner..Guerra decided to continue with own speed..
Soler has left Pozzovivo and Garate behind..he is going alone now..
Di Luca has taken main group lead position and pull hard..and Plaza is out of the game..
Di Luca is absolutely destroyed that group..he has cought Garate and Pozzovivo..looks like only Liquigas riders (Nibali and Pellizotti) can follow..
..and he just keep on going..only Pellizotti left..
This was surprise..Pozzovivo has energy to atack again..he passes even Di Luca
Liquigas guys will share a water..and will need to take a final kick..
at the begind Guerra has catched Plaza..and will help him..
..and Nibali atack..can you believe it..he atacked against he's own teammate..
Di Luca passes Soler just before final km. marker..
..and takes stage win..is it nr. 7? At least he has won on every mountain top finish..
Plaza is out of the podium..and Isido Nozal was today out of time limit..
Trussov was also outside time limit..so Carlos Nozal is back as GC last man..

Sulmona > Benevento
The field faced a climb after just 20 kilometers in this stage, but following a long and technical descent from it, the course was gently undulating course without any other categorized climbs. It was thought that this stage would favor the Giro's remaining sprinters
This was planned as sprinter stage..at the first time..there was just grazy speed and atack..after atack..riders like Plaza and Guerra also inside red zone..
Efimkin takes kind of victory there..he takes hill top first...
Another 3d crash after finish..why is this always happes when I do well..
all stage tempo was real fast..and Pinto was looking so exausted 15km. before the sprint..Plaza who has been so sharp lately when he needed to sprint..gonna go today..and earn the right to wear points jersey..
He followed..Di Luca..then decided to go early and find himself at the front even before 1km. banner...sprinters..specialy Boonen tryed hard..but this stage was just to much for sprinters legs. Stage win nr. 3 for Plaza..he is for shure one of the Giro stars..
Last mountain stage tomorrow Mount Vesuvius..
another sign how grazy that so called sprint stage was..Bronco and our hero C. Nozal is out of the timelimit and tour..both Nozal's are stoped the race..

..another perfect profile for Rodrigues who is in top shape..small hills witch is to hard for sprinters. Correct counter atack..and chantches to get away again..
puncture..he is strong man and can get back easy..
Kairelis staring early today..he atacked first and we have 43km to go..race has started..
16 to go..that was grazy 20km. where road rises over 2% atack followed..and that all the time. Finaly 19 riders get away..Rodrigues is in..
8km. to go..last small hil and as usual..atack..Alexander Gottfried atacking..Rodrigues follows..
Dirk Müller get into this group..almost same situation as yesterday..

Avellino - Vesuvio
The first 151 kilometers of this stage saw rough undulation, with many uncategorized hills, including one at almost 500 meters in elevation. The final 13 kilometers saw a steep climb up to the famous Mount Vesuvius at 1000 meters.
Last mountain stage..
All day almost all CarmioOro - A-Style team has been close to the front..and planning something..weird. Will see..Stage first part tempo has been real low...
80km. to go..Barloworld and Liquigas has moved to forward..tempo has changed now they are riding..
Breakaway group starting Vesuvio climb...Dessel at the front wont wait ..he is atacking..
Main group arrives..also with atack..Sörensen, Pardila, Leon Sanchez..that was what A Style team was planning all day?
Botcharov atacked..Leon Sanchez counters..
Bruseghin follows...
Then Morzano, Monfort, Codol..just Dessel is left at the front..
Soler atack..Di Luca and Nibali counter...they passing Botcharov.
Carrara atacking..Plaza will keep he's head cool..he made a mistake on Blockhaus..when he followed to long Di Luca tempo..today ..different strategy. He just keep steady going..
