So, Ceramica Flaminia confirms that they had a pre-contract with Michael Rasmussen, but that it's now been cancelled, because UCI hinted that it'd cause problems for the team. They didn't say anything about Ricco, though. |

I was just about to post about this, my Danish was translated rather sloppily and I couldn't understand I just understood that Ceramica was in talks, so it's not going to happen? UGH, I just want Michael back :/ |

Speaking of lampre, Saronni wants Cunego to take a paycut, sparking Cunego stating it was time for a change.
I've also heard rumours that marzio 'donkey boy' Bruseghin is out of contract and would relish a move to Liquigas Following a number of ex Lampre boys who have moved there in the past few years

Contador has turned down an offer of 30 million € over 4 years from Astana, which is about the same ammount Armstrang was paid as US postal. According to his manager they have allready been negotiating with Garmin and Caisse.

Cyclingnews said it was 16 million euros over 4 years... |

Contador would not receive 30 million though. That's just the media reporting it including taxes so they can make a huge deal out of the story by making it seem the wage is one never before seen.
The net wage is 4 million. For comparison, the current top earners are:
Valverde 2.7
Cunego 2.5
Everyone else at or below 1.5 (Bettini made 2 million up until last december. he was offered a renewal and demanded 4 million.....after having no results. But he's an asshole an egomaniac and a jackass all rolled into one)

Interesting. I'm not used to seeing contracts reported as "net". I just assumed it was gross.
In the US they never talk about contracts or pay in after-tax numbers. Makes me adjust what I think cyclists make up a few notchs, if those are after tax numbers. |

Now a guy who doesn't dope and only do good when in top shape, like a normal clean guy should, is garbage?
Still, how many guys who have nothing to do with doping related stories can you name that have a better record of achievements over the past three years? |

What do you mean?
What Wiggins did this tour was something that everyone with a bit of knowledge towards cycling could see was the purest and cleanest thing ever... |
