Absolutely unbeliavable! We dominated whole race after very disapointing three stages and won everything except sprinter jersey! Sponsors noticed our major success on home field and chanhed their confidence from bad (pre-race) to excellent!!!
I'll keep this thread in mind when I come to Tour of Ireland myself! |

yet again this old veteran Nico demonstrate how much he can shine, great result in Ireland, nice signing of Millar, he will be good for overall in short stageraces with tts
btw try to sign some young talent for cobbled races, he can learn from very experienced Nico and later replace him as a team leader after Nico retires
i would watch for these:
Niki Terpstra
Sebastian Langeveld
Marcus Burghardt
Martijn Maaskant
Greg Van Avermaet
Matti Breschel
ps: just an advice

Stage 3
First hilly stage of Tour, early breakaway group in on of small climbs.
Althoug big effort of peloton, they kept their advantage before pack. Zielinski could celebrate great win, whilst Appleby achieved yellow jersey.
Game crashed, so I couldn´t make export of results.

143. N.Eeckhout

10-man group including e.g. Weylandt or Bellis built great gap before peloton.
We are in foot of final climb, 5 riders are still ahead, it looks they´ll survive until end!
Eeckhout with Ghyselinck don´t want to deal with it and attack! But it´s too late, leaders are still far ahead...
Giovanni Bernaudeau takes a win ahead of Frederik Veuchelen.
Ghyselinck takes 3rd place, Eeckhout 4th...wonderful finish!

I´m still balancing on the edge of TOP10...now I´m 9th, but can easily drop to 12th place...finishing within 10th place would be great success |

Stage 5
Jef Peeters is part of today´s break.
Looks like real Tour of Britain has just began, George Hincapie launches attack!
After some counterattacks, Sep Vanmarcke decides to move too.
Meanwhile, Roesems and Shimizu attack leading group.
Group of chasers (including Vanmarcke, Hincapie, Bates, Guttierez Cataluna nad Axelsson) has just caught early breakaway group in last hill.
Martijn Maaskant joins newly formed group.
When Bert Roesems opens sprint, chasers are still behind.
Crash of Vanmarcke in last corner!!
Shimizu didn´t find power to beat Roesems, who can celebrate stage win! Bates is 3rd and becomes new overall leader!

I was almost lucky through the season, now luck turned away from me. Vanmarcke lost 1´11" for Bates today. If he would avoid that stupid fall, he´d be 2nd in GC now with marginal loss of 8"...10th place overall is still good though.

Hard luck but it always happens i was cofidis with dumoulin and was 2nd on gc in the last stage of the tour down under and he fell with 6km to go grrr. Still annoyed just thinking about it you will recover though as the guy ahead is on to far away from you and you have been getting good results all season so i could see you getting into the top 9 or 8. Good luck
And why the hell did he fall over his front wheel

Good luck for your next race, after that crash, you need it. I'm surprised that Vanmarcke have not be injuried after fall. |

Stage 7
This stage was classified as hilly, so we could expect interesting battle. Well, it was, unfortunately I have only 1 screen...my replay file was broken
We could saw early break as usual. They worked well together and built nice gap. Later on, in last long (but not steep) climb, real action has started. Almost all main contenders (including Vanmarcke) has got to break and chased down leading group. After that we could so many attacks (e.g. Hincapie), but as far as the last one, made by Robert Retschke was successful. He won ahead of Roesems and Farrar. Vanmarcke had no legs for some action, I was happy to keep him in group until end. He finished 7th and maintained his 10th place overall. Bates hold yellow jersey.
