Swift is so unlucky not to have had a stage win by now.

He's barely the only sprinter in the race. He would deserve it if it were a real bunch sprint or if he won from a break, IMO. And now I'm not joking.

So, with a 24kms ITT coming up, it's Contador's race to lose.
Evans and Sánchez have outside chances.

Ok. We'll never know what the outcome would have been in the scenario of a bunch sprint for the three stages where breakaways have survived.

You're looking at it the other way around: Contador was off form that year, didn't feature in the race at all.....and despite the bad form, he still managed 8th in the time trial.

That's another strong argument towards "the course favours him". Anyway, whichever way you look at the results, the conclusion will always be the same: the course is for climbers, not for time trialists.

The thing is that i really can't see how Contador could be beaten (even though i'd be happy if he was Wink )
this is the TT for Contador, hilly, more for climbers with TT skills than for TT specialist, like Evans

Pinotti is a really classy rider.

Why did so many pull out today?
