Chavanel has improved quite a lot the past year, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if he ends up in top 5...
I don't have too much faith in Gárate... That being said, he should be able to do a top 10, but I believe Chavanel will be the better of those 2... No matter what theoretical evidence you deside you spend your time finding... |

It's just not possible with the team for Paris-Nice, no real powerhouses like Vaitkus |

By theoretical evidence are you refering to their past results? because that seems to be just about the best evidence going.

Indeed, but those are in the meaning of changing my mind quite irrelevant... I believe in Sylvain Chavanel, not because he has the best records, but simply because I feel he has what it takes to finish top 5... I'm quite sure he won't win, but I believe in top 5... |

Edit : Does someone know anything about Selldrayers ? He could be a good climber, from what I saw
Seeldraeyers is a young Belgian rider, I think only 22 years old. He's a good climber and still improving. Last year he was fifth in the Tour of Georgia and was about the best domestique Bettini had in the Giro. This year he also did well in the Tour of California. He is bound to become one of the best climbers in Belgium, although he still has a lot of work to do on his TT skills. |

as much as i hate the fact that contador will win, astana will do the job on "de Lure" where the rest of the teams will be powerless; look at the team they brought here. |

That was a flat stage guido, with wind and stuff, specialty of teams as Rabobank and Quick Step. Especially Rabobank, who sent their entire classics team to here (except Garate).
In the mountains, Astana will blow them away I'm afraid |

Chavanel was super in last years Paris Nice as well, he took the leader jersey there also. And the same people, like you know, believed he could take overall or at least finish top 5. He did neither, and Garate finished in front of him.
So I don't understand why it should be different this year, again superform, again the leadersjersey, but again, he will come up short on the 1 difficult mountain this race holds. Mark my words.
And if past results, recent results even (last year) aren't the best evidence, then what is?? Your feeling? Right. |

You say garate will not beat chavanel well if you asked who is better on the flat before the paris nice started chavanel but garate stuck in there and looked good i think he is on good form and get a top 3. Chavanel will drop like a stone as always |

Hmmm. Something not so challenging about that statement |
