It seems the wind has turned, on the first part, everyone is going slower, on the final part, everyone is going way faster than Quinziato.
F.ex Gesink had 2:16 on the 24km part, and 1:35 at the finish
Van Goolen was like 17th on the 24km part, and is now 2nd at the finish |

it has to have changed. Quinziato can't possibly win this. it'd be inhuman. this is not a prologue.
stage win for Leipheimer

Sastre only loses 49 seconds to Contador. well done.
Valverde about to do a good time trial. Just like Devolder last year, Valverde is absolutely killing himself to get the jersey.
Just like Devolder last year, he'll pay in the mountains.

The wind's changed again, giving the last riders a huge advantage. as a result Chavanel almost beat Leipheimer, and Valverde and Boonen are about to do wonderful times with a huge help from the wind.

Valverde loses 59 secs to leipheimer. without the wind he would've lost a bucketload.
That's it, only mountains from now on, no more stages for crono specialists

Gesink only lost 1:10 to Contador and only 2:00 to Leipheimer. Not that bad actually. Although, he has done better time trials then today. Oh well.
The Belgian commentator went bonkers again. 3 belgians in the top 10, and the first mountainstages aren't that hard, maybe cornu and van goolen will survive!!!
Yeah right..go away! |
