Joy, Carapaz mechanical to crash hold up and Viviani dq screwing what was otherwise a decent finish
Where's home race favouritism when you need it? No leap up the table after all...

Same here with Viviani and Tao Hart. Did Sky even help him after his crash or are they all in on Sivakov?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yeah, even worse for Tao
There were 3 or 4 Sky riders around Tao when down, not sure if they also hit the deck but seemed to be getting him going again if nothing else.
Edit - Ineos I mean Ineos! Easy to confuse one abhorrent sponsor for another

I'll never learn regarding the GTs, as I've neglected sprinters in my team once again Though, I'm kind of surprised to see my team has just about survived those first two sprint stages, obviously being kind of lucky Velogames-wise with Viviani getting relegated.
Not so great to see De Plus give away three minutes. Haven't seen the stage, but my hope pre-Giro was that he would sit nice and high in the GC in the first 10 days or so before going all in as Roglic's super domestique. Not meant to be
Tomorrow will be exciting, especially if the GC guys/puncheurs decides to have a go at the win and don't let a breakaway run away with it. Even Ewan could mix it, I guess, depending on how it's raced. |

I am done in both. Roll on June and less time to overthink my teams. |

I see guys that you picked Tom as well. Hopefully he will quit and will go for TDF. Makes no sense staying in Giro imo.
@Freitas in California you never know what might happen

Top of the league after two, in California. Still long way to go.
Girowise, Ackermann + Viviani double would have been perfect if it wasn't for the relegation. Still ackermann doing bits, Lopez and Roglic look real contenders. All good.

Super lucky with my Giro picks, 4 days 4 wins.
With 2 sprinters I need to rack up the points before week 3.
Feel for the Dumoulin fans.
Meanwhile in California it's my normal mid table stuff.

Oh yeah, 6 identical "big money" riders. I guess Guarieri, Frapporti and Polanc are doing better than Lonardi, Mochetti and Kangert at the moment
Meanwhile in California my Sprint trio of Jakobsen, Boyhanni and Philipsen forgot the race started last night. Looks like my 4 point "eeny meeny miny mo" rider Baska got into the top 10 to rescue something from the stage for me. Have to hope my 3 big guns of Schachmann, GroBscharter and Pogacar can pull it back in the GC.
2nd and 3rd at the moment Timo. Looks like we made the right picks
Aaaaaand now it all goes terribly wrong

Hhahahaa I made the better 4 point picks though, only so disappointed with myself that I picked Izagirre when Mollema was the obvious pick... |

He'll come good in the mountains. Mountain Jersey challenge coming I think.

Yeah, Izagirre might be a great pick...if he is allowed off the leash with MAL in mind. I always think, for right or wrong, that Mollema is one of those riders that places a lot but rarely wins or even gets top 3's, where the big points are. He's slightly improved in this regard more recently I guess?

Oh god there goes my ace sprinting double act - Gaviria abandoned with a dodgy knee/fast start and Viviani likely to continue imploding before abandoning early.
Also Treks bizarre help doesn't help, keeping Conti in pink - more work incoming for Polanc = less energy for mountain breaks later on... when does the Tour start?!

Yee haw! Feeling the vibes after a California win! 53th overall feels great as well. Bennett, Tadej and Higuita were the big picks! Hopefully more results like these!

League table has been updated after California.
Congrats to Emre on his win. Ember maintains and extends the overall lead. Clamel is just about hanging on to his coat-tails however a bit of a gap has opened up to the rest of the pack. The likes of Ian, Timo, Purepasd and Freitas will need to start making up some ground over the next few races or we could be seeing a fairly comfortable win for Ember at the end of the season.
Imagine if he hadn't forgotten to enter the Paris-Nice game
