about the RAM thing, i dont know anything about this stuff bit still I checked out the DELL site and if I want to get like 1 GB RAM do I only need to buy 510 because 510+510 (what I have now)= 1GB or do I have to buy 1 GB

If you buy 1GB then you will have 1.52GB RAM
So If you want 1GB RAM total, then just buy 510MB

ok thanks, im first just gonna wait and see if it works, i'll only get it if it dooesnt work since i'll be getting a new pc in 4 months

i have mobile Intel (R) 915GM/gms, 910GML express chipset family
is this grahpic card, and 1024 ram, is this godd enough???
to play PCM 08

Well you might be able to run the game.. I can and I have a Intel GM945 card.. and 1024 mb ram ..
BUT I'll give you an advice: Don't buy the game if you haven't a better computer .. I run the game on minimum settings and it lags from time to time .. Really annoying .. Also it's not worth playing it with that low graphics..
So I'm waiting for my new computer 
I think you should wait for the demo .. If you can run the demo then buy the game if you think it's worth it ..

I'll see what I can do about screenshots tonight (I'm on the other side of the pond so I am working right now).
Graphics settings are pretty much as low as you can go. I am reallly hoping the extra RAM will help with how it looks in a 3d race, but I fear it's more the graphics card than the Ram. |

Justin, I am running Anti-alias on setting 1 with a screen resolution of 800x600. All Detail settings set to zero and all other options off. In other words, pretty much the minimum...
Just for a laugh I maxed out all the graphic options (which of course made it totally unplayable)....

How's this, i've checked against the minimum specs and it's fine
AMD Athlon XP 2400
1GB Ram
NiVida GeForce 8500 OR 8600 (am buying tonight or tomorrow)
So, that should work right? But is there any small and cheap upgrades that will make it work better.

Believe it or not, my graphics card is the model before the ones that are supported, but it's old and rubbish. Doesn't support Shaders at all.

Also i think with a 8600 GT we might be able to reach full graphics with AA at x2. Lets wait and see. (Of course this will depend on other things too, with your specs you might struggle to run AA on x2. Anyway hopefully youll be able to run max shaders.) |
