Yes Contador is Rodriguez for Froome. Because if Froome can't drop Contador which I don't think he can because climbs are not too demanding, then Froome will not match Contador's burst of speed. Froome's spider like riding style cannot open gaps easily as does Contador's dancing style can. It might be efficient getting up a mountain but not in accelerating away from Contador.
Sorry to be wrong, you were quite correct, for Froome Contador's acceleration is indeed like Rodriguez unmatched burst of speed in final km.
