Unbelievable crash by Farrar... Can anyone explain to me how that happened? Not often I see such a crash.
Kinda looked like he touched a wheel and lost his balance. I've done that before, but luckily my drops (and my pride) took the brunt of the damage. |

Battaglin is possibly the most overrated rider ever since his stage win last year. He has shown nothing since or before then. He stayed with the pack on a mountain with low gradients in strong headwind and won a sprint against a group of riders mostly incapable of sprinting on the flat.
Today he got top ten in a sprint because 80% of the sprinters crashed.
He can get in the breakaway, but he isn't even close to being a favourite - he will most likely get dropped early on the long and steep climb close to the finish. |

Tough start in the Giro with everyone trying to get away. Peloton fractured on the climb, with 22 initially (including Roche, Cataldo and Siutsou) away but the group has swollen to 60 now (85km gone). Two crashes and abandons in Durbridge and Wegmann.

This - first hour then break in coverage and last 2 hours would be good.

Saw it once in the Tour and it was really great to see the first KM's aswell.
Especially when there's a huge fight to get away, otherwise it's still boring. |

Indeed, I love that kilometre 1 coverage. Especially on such stages, splitting up the coverage would make more sense to capture all the exciting bits.

Durbridge out for OGE. In a crash, teams says suspected broken collar bone. |

They are not stopping for BMC now . Don't know if Morabito is back already though, maybe he is. |

Wait, I just turned on the tv. What's going on, it's sort of chaotic. What's the situation? Androni riding? |
