Well I would rate Del Bosque higher than Guardiola.
Also Guardiola never has a plan B but just plan A and if it doesn't work see the match against Madrid.
Barcelona has a problem nowadays with their coach so I don't think they are worse but had a wrong coach for the team, maybe Enrique changes it as he was a long time Barca player.
So thats why I think Spain will be again very good - because they have Del Bosque and great players.
Spain does not have a striker and their style of football is dead, i think they will maybe have problems going to semis. Also what i spotted is, you should play FM less Rin, football is not only about formations.
They have Torres and when they were probably at their best in 2008 they played more of a hybrid tika-taka I think. It was more of a total football type thing. The full backs and even center backs would often get into the attack and the finishing of Villa and Torres really did a good job then. Now not so much, but I think the team always found a way to win and found a way to adapt.
You really cant count them out for the finals again. They have an ageing squad, but also still a very good squad from top to bottom, in every position. No matter what formation they play they will have a world class player available in every position really.
I thought you were German, Dippo?
Anyway, this is the definitive version...

I don't know how you are coming to the last sentence as I said Spain has a great coach and great players, never naming their false nine system they are regulary playing. Then in the end you say football isn't about formations?
Second the their style and their system you named "dead" is going to be played by Germany in the world cup a team everyone rates very high.
(Even though I think they will have it hard because that false nine system never worked for us, never won a match with this system and after switching back at half time or even further in the game, the team played much better.)
So we are not even making the semifinals because of that system?
Look at Germanys team they just have 1 striker (Klose) and he is even injured.

Actually, I thought England going forward were alright, but Chris Smalling was a liability.

Good game by Germany against Armenia. Though the opponent is average, it was a game for the team to get some motivation boost and for them to demeonstrate their strong combination play. In the second half, they really showed some mighty fine football. In the first half it was good too, but they hugely lacked in terms of efficieny and especially stumbled quite a bit in front of the goal... . Podolski real strong. And Kroos in total control - Toni will rock the World Championships.

COMPLETELY irrelevant.
Losing Reus is - by position - one of the easiest fates to get over, but still a major blow.

USA suck thats why, their group is a group of death i think Spain again but they may have faded by now i think if Spain don't win it will be Bra, Ura, or Argentina SAmerican teams have a big advanatage with the heat and humidity, should favour USA aswell maybe.

Anybody see the official predictions from Sports Illustrated?
They actually have USA getting last in their group, even behind Ghana.
They have Brazil Vs. Germany and Uruguay Vs. Argentina as the semi's with Argentina beating Brazil for the world cup.
Thoughts?
They will fight with Ghana to get 3rd in the group. It would take quite a bit for Germany and Portugal not to go through. I see Ghana as the better team but its possible for USA to beat them.
France look idiots not picking Nasri now Ribery is injured.Nasri should have been in the team anyway from the start. Nasri and Ribery were their main flair in midfield now they have, Valbuena, Menez?. Their cmid will be good but they won't win imo.

Given their recent history with internal problems i think it's wise to not pick Nasri. France needs a tournament without fights within the team and from what i've read Nasri was a really big part of that.
Oh yeah jseadog, Ghana is the favorite against USA If you guys (USA) take a point u've done well.

I think I read something that USA has a secret weapon, Julian Green, who could help USA get out of the Group stage because of something along the lines of "he is good at diving in the box and drawing penalty calls"
About France, they have a young team, and I think they are preparing for the Euro's or next world cup, but could do okay this year as well! Dont forget they still have guys like Cabella, Benzema, Griezmann on top of their solid midfield and pretty good defenders. If those players (the attackers) want to do something here France could be a bit of a dark horse.
