So far, so (very) good Now the only remaining question seems to be, wether Ben or Janier takes out this TT! Which is obviously good news for Jamier anyway

*tsmoha - Thanks mate, hope you´ll like them.
*kadtagenero - No problem, easy to miss that.
I´m affraid to disapoint you with bigger races this season. If i´m not wrong now, California will be the biggest race we will have this season because we couldn´t apply for Pro Tour races.
J.Driscoll with the breakaway, 20kms to go, 1´53"gap to peloton.
Behind the break, we were caught with our defences down and due to the high speed and strong wind, 30 riders create a gap to the pack... 8 top10 riders are there, we have to work really hard to bring them back if we wish to maintain yellow jersey...
.. and when we were speeding really fast, bad luck hits us... B.J.Maynes falls down on a tricky curve and will loose his 4th place in GC...
With 2,4kms to go and after an extreme hard and great work from Jamis riders(all of them), J.J.Haedo manages to bring J.Acevedo back to that group but both are exhausted..
At the front, B.Russel(Nordisk) attacked in the breakaway and leads the race with 21"... Driscoll gets droped.
B.Russel manages to keep his gap and wins today... 24" is the time lost for peloton, Maynes falls from 4th in GC to 37th with +5´29"..

A real shame for Maynes! He was in great shape, would have deserved that Top-5.. But at least Acevedo is still on top of the podium, that's maybe more important

*tsmoha - Indeed.. shame that Maynes was the chosen one among so many , but we managed at least secure yellow, like you say. Next and last stage will be another battle for us, i just hope the riders can recover well.

1st kom sprint, M.Cooke leads the pack..
After several failed attempts from Cooke to escape, it´s B.J.Maynes who gets in the break.. they crossed the 2nd Int. sprint with 3´07"gap to peloton..
Jelly Belly´s captain F.Rodriguez 5th GC falls down but his team mates will bring him back in the pack..
M.Cooke leads the pack on 2nd Kom sprint, 6´08" after breakaway... 71kms to go.
4,5kms to the top of 3rd climb, escapees start to feel the pack coming closer... J.Acevedo starts to ride away from peloton.. 43kms to go.
Still before the top, Janier leads the race now..
J.Acevedo reaches the top, he wins Kom jersey..
1´12" later comes E.Pinto(LAR) 3rd GC and L..Craddock(BLS) 2nd GC..
One more climb to ride, J.Acevedo still leads, Craddock and Pinto follow and then comes a 14 riders group with Cooke and Varela..
5kms to the end, J.Acevedo can already see the finish line and this stage has already found a winner... with 3´33"gap to his rivals, no way Janier will loose this one.
J.Acevedo wins the stage and dominates a race where he was clearly the strongest rider.. M.Cooke with a great result too, 9th and G.Varela 11th.

J.Acevedo wins by 1point.
