They don't owe you anything, nor the other way round, so why should you care about riders' nationalities ?
Really, I have no complex or don't feel I can patronize people of X or Y nationality because their cyclist are better or worse than those from my home country.

Quick Step cowards, why didn't they help Dumoulin ride?? Stybar is good enough to go for the win here. Dumoulin awesome rider, one of the biggest talents in the world in my opinion. Love his style of riding aswell! Kelderman really good aswell!

Vanmarcke, Wellens, De Bie, Stuyven, Stallaert, Van Keirsbulck. You have lots of talented riders, not to mention a couple of established top riders like Roelandts, Van Avermaet, Bakelants, Gilbert and Boonen.

Vanmarcke, Wellens.
And lots more, Belgium is a way better cycling county. They can win stages in the TdF, win classics, go for the GC's (Monfort and De Gendt) and win the WC.
I get what you mean, Aquarius, but for some reason, a lot of brains, including mine obviously, don't work like that
I don't think you can talk chauvinism out of our heads
@Fosfor Hey, Belgians have had better cyclists for a lot of years now. Can it finally be our time in a few years, pretty please
Also, Belgians have some CT talent coming, like Stuyven, De Bie and a bunch of cobblers & sprinters.
Edit: Damn, Zabel'd a lot. Typing on my mobile doesn't help, for sure Edited by Jesleyh on 17-08-2013 17:28
Yeah we have some talented young riders, but not nearly as impressive as other nations. Netherlands, Germany, France etc produce the Climbers, TTers and sprinter of tomorrow, we produce the superdomestiques that will work for them.
@aquarius: Yes, I'm chauvinistic. Deal with it
That doesn't mean I don't love riders from other countries, I just want Belgian riders to be more succesfull than this year.
I know we're a bit spoiled with Boonen and Gilbert, so we deserve an off-year I guess . But Boonen will most likely stall his bike next year and Gilbert can barely win races. So, some good young guys to replace them are more than welcome. I don't even ask them to be as good as Boonen or Gilbert were, just good enough to win a prestigious race now and then.
