Smart move by Mollema. Both Martin and Pinot are awfull descenders
The technical part is over though, so maybe he'd be better off in the group.
And I was obviosuly wrong. Mollema did well to gain close to 10 seconds.

Wtf.. We discovered a new climber once again! After Visconti it is now suddenly Sagen who can easily keep up in an 1st category mountain... I always hate it when riders ride away in the descend though, annoying.. |

Sagan to win TdF in 5 years. He just has to lose some weight. |

I think it's a better accomplishment when you drop someone on a mountain by showing you're stronger. In the descend it's just who is willing to take extreme risks and not really a show of being better than your opponents. Also I must add, that due to Scarponi's fall they lost the most time unfortunately. |

Rui Costa comes in front of that short peloton. Today is Portugal's day so lets see if he can make someting. At least moving into top 5!
Top 3 is way better. If it wasn't Sagan but any other from the GC dispute he would have won. Still hard to win it again. Tiago Machado continues to be kms from Rui on the best portuguese rider competition. |

That's one of the dumbest things I've heard in a long time.
Descent finishes >>> Mountain top finishes

Why is being stronger uphill a better accomplishment than having better descending skills. In fact it's easier to open gaps uphill than downhill.

That's true in this case, although the closer to the front you are, the lower the chances of being held by a crash.

Your opinion, I don't think that Descent finishes are better.
@Kumazan, as I said, it's my opinion, it also costs more effort to ride away on mountains aswell. |

Indeed, must be extremely frustrating for him... Too bad he is out, cause he was one of the fighters in the Crans-Montana stage, good to look at!
By the way guys, Dombrowski wasn't in the front group, bit of a surprise in my opinion! |

You missed the last Tour and Suisse somehow? Because Sagan was climbing there well too. Also anybody who met him in one team as the rider or trainer says he is potential TdF winner, it seems that with such a beasty talent it is mainly about focus and body type, he can possibly win almost any competition regarding cycling.
So what Lachi says would not surprise me, i am not just saying it too often but i hope for it since 2010-2011.
Also dont forget he is the former MTB rider, like some of best climbers in recent years.
Edit: Great day by Kreuziger btw. Looks great prior to the Tour, Alberto will have strong co-captain.

Didn't miss it, but I always thought he could hang on on a 2nd category climb for a long time and 1st category aswell, but now he was just insanely strong I probably never seen him climbing as well as today. He might turn into a great GC rider if he works on his climbing and TT'ing. |

No point in trying to become a GC rider for him, at least before he has won all the major classics. Trying to make such a big change could reduce his competitiveness, so I'd be careful if I were him.
Just look at EBH or Ciolek. Trying to succeed in the classics and the sprints respectively has caused them to lose several years of potential dominance in another field.
