So...Cavendish and Sagan? No one else has more than 4 wins

To keep the idea of treasure hunt alive...this is the CQ list of all riders with at least 2 wins this season (though 2 is far from what I call incredible), neglecting all Asia, Africa and Oceania Tour wins for obvious reasons, and those riders with less than 4 seasons on considerable level, because that is the minimum time for your proposed evolution.
1. | CAVENDISH Mark | | 2. | SAGAN Peter | 5. | VALVERDE BELMONTE Alejandro | 6. | GREIPEL André | 7. | MUGERLI Matej | 9. | MARTIN Tony | 10. | PORTE Richie | 11. | FROOME Chris | 12. | BOS Theo | | 13. | HIVERT Jonathan | 14. | MEERSMAN Gianni | 15. | CIOLEK Gerald | 16. | GAUDIN Damien | 19. | DEHAES Kenny | 20. | RODRIGUEZ OLIVER | 22. | KITTEL Marcel | 25. | VANDEWALLE Kristof | 27. | CHICCHI Francesco | 30. | BOOM Lars | | 31. | HOWARD Leigh | 33. | GENE Yohann | 35. | DOCKX Gert | 37. | ROBERT Fréderique |
The most fitting (or rather the only fitting) CQ value graphs belong to Richie Porte and Kristof Vandewalle, with the latter one distorted due to a 1.HC win nearly doubling his usual points haul in 2010.
Cavendish fits if you consider his recent "drop" in points being due to his weakness rather than the development of Greipel (and neglect MSR 2009 distorting that year) or whatever, and he's obviously the only one with an incredible amount of wins, if wins against Barry Markus are of any value.
Someone with more in-depth knowledge without having to look at CQranking might have more and better arguments for some riders, but that's what I can come up with.

Dude, seriously, nothing's going to happen if you say you think X is doping. Either name the guy or stop this, it's pointless.
Go on then, is it Valverde, Cavendish, Sagan or Coquard?

To be it seems that Gilbert/Ibarguren is the obvious fit. OPQ have won plenty this season afterall.
But if its not them, then carry on

Oh. That's what I thought, especially with the Gilbert cortisone allegations this week, but the way he wrote it, seemed he meant the rider had won a number of races this season.
Yeah, that's probably what he means.

Grammar nazi: "who" definitely refers to a person, "which" would have indicated it's about the team.
Though the latter one seems to be what he meant, but not said.

It's an internet meme, a set phrase for being nit-picking when there's wrong grammar.

I prefer not to mess with you late at night by falsely assuming humour being involved

Let me sleep at nights.
Bad grammar, sorry, but I definitely meant the team.
Yes, I'm referring to the current World Champion, as pointed out earlier. The first message was about one guy in particular, so, not a whole team.
His Lotto team merged with Quick-Step at the end of 2011, so even though Lotto created another team with more or less the same colours, it's a new team.
Quick Step have already won 15 races or so this year, not the Sky way, but that's still a lot, me thinks.
Anyway, the cortisone use allegations were just that at first sight, but once I read again about what cortisone would do to a rider, I thought it definitely gave weight to the accusations as it matches Gilbert's evolution over the last 3 or 4 seasons quite well.

Immediately with the suggestion that Sky will take the riders from the dope scandal team. Unbelievable. Why do you hate Sky so much?
That's my CLURPR impression
Heck, if Schleck went to Sky and began doing well again, then I may just have to begin agreeing with your views isso |

But that would not have been so strange. Schleck has his past on the top, also i think he will be up there in contention in July again.
Sky is best in creating GT winners from nobodies...

I'm pretty sure Gilbert is/was almost as clean as they come.
He'd be taking too much a risk by saying (upon winning L-B-L): "They'll never be able to take these victories away from me, I'm 100% clean, something something..."
And he's never been bad, too. Last year was spoiled by a bad winter (happens all the time), then he won Vuelta stages and World Championships. Riders have ups and downs, it's not all doping-related, you know. |

That sounds a lot like a rose tinted view of Gilbert.
And his comment is amazingly reminiscent of Armstrong, Wiggins, Boogerd and pretty much every other doper....
Its professional cycling, 90% of the peloton is on some for of dope.

I don't buy that, though. I'd say the table's turning the other way (or what's the expression? ).
How many victories did Gilbert have in 2011? Did he test positive once in all these victories, starting early in the year, finishing late in the season? No.
And if he'd take cortizone, why would he suddenly stop? |

Dont forget Gilbert was warning last year by the UCI due to highly irregular blood value variations. |

Last year, when he, according to the cortizone-theory, already stopped doping? |
