Cheers, was it the bike that hit him in the eye. It did look like he hit his face off the Hurdles.
yeah, his spikes of his shoes got stuck on the first hurdle, so he tripped and fell, and the bike hit his face, causing a wound just above his eyelash(?), which had to be stitched
The next day it got swollen, so he couldnt see that much trough that eye, but thats about the only discomfort he experienced during the sunday race |

The last one was very bad. Progress of the riders, sponsors' satsifaction, riders' satisfaction, riders' programmes - all these things didn't work. And computer controled teams behaved very in a very strange way - hired riders from spain, etc. |

So, can anyone predict the winner of the World Championship, so that I can win some PCM-money? |

Ruben will say Lars Boom, I say Albert, Vantornout, Vanthourenhout, Simunek, Stybar, Dlask or Pauwels. |

One name: Lars Boom.
Its held in his country, on a course, made for him. litterally. It'd be a complete failure if he doesnt become world champ this season in Hoogerheide. As we say in the netherlands, he is 'Torenhoog favoriet' or in english, absolute top favourite.

Vanthourenhout (yes, we're talking about Sven, not his cousin Dieter) will start in Tabor this weekend, despite his triple-broken hand. I should know it, because he was injured in Tsjechië. |

But I mean it as Sven is the injured and he is going to start in Tabor. He was injured in Olomouc, Tsjechië.
His cousin, Dieter raced in Kalmthout and even he has more UCI points than Sven, he will be only a substitute in Tabor.
Sven Nys? World Champion? That's an interesting idea. I hope it will never happen again.

Nys, is great at the world cup races, well the early ones anyway. Some riders are making the transition from Road like Boom so its easy to exploit that. When the race gets really heated up Nys will fail hopefully |

Unfortunately not only at the early races. When there is a race and Nys is in start list then it's 50:50 who will be the winner. Sven Nys or someone else (you can chose every rider from last year's UCI top 20) |

I dont mind who wins it as long as it is a well deserved win. And a good winner.
I was put off by nys when i read that he demanded lots of appearance money (well more than he is allowed). I find that disgusting. |

Well, about czechs: Stybar rides races depending on its quality, so does Simůnek. Dlask tries to race in Czech rep as much as he can, but he rides for Belgian team, so he has to ride belgian races. BÃna rides only in Czech and World cups, so does Ausbuher. ZlámalÃk goes aboard (i don't know wheter it's for money or for good racing) when there is no races in czech rep, but his priority is Toi toi cup (czech national cup - there isn't lot of money (less than 400€ for win)). BUT, Mlynár, Chrobak, Benda and Kyzivát often ride in Suisse due to high price money. And there also is Kloucek, who rides mainly in belgium. |
